Well, you are attended to at the exact time of appointment, and the nurses were quick to scan and prescribe medication. It was a good reception Friendly and efficient Clean, friendly and well stocked, I had to queue for around 10 minutes, which I guess is the norm for these places. The staff were professional, quick and on the ball. 👍👍 Excellent centre modern and fresh ample free parking I was served immediately and they understood my requirements and quickly gave me the necessary documents. I phoned on a dying friend’s behalf and she got a call back within a couple of hours from her GP. ALWAYS step up when really needed. Amazing reception staff, fantastic nurses. Can't complain at all. Thank you " TEAM WHITE HORSE" It's great to have a comprehensive medical unit in our area. Large, clean and the car park is a decent size, though the entrance is a bit dodgy. Not having to go further afield for x-rays is a benefit the local youth probably can't relate to. But I remember those days. Glad to say they seem to have sorted most of the problems they suffered from a while back. The telephone system seems spot on these days, and long may it continue. Got an no problem and was called in early by the Dr. Thanks White Horse Health centre Getting people within a few miles radius to compete for an 8am sharp in hope for a slot is ridiculous. Why is this still being used? It isn't sustainable and it causes a lot of stress. Simply the best surgery ever Would be nice to see a doctor and not be diagnosed on the phone, can never get a appt, told to ring at 8am but after being held in a queue till 8.30 told no appts available try again 8am next day, have a job to go to so hard to ring at 8am each day. When I first joined this health centre over 10 years ago, getting an was easy. I hardly ever need an anyway, but now, when I do, it’s impossible. The receptionists seem to have the power to put people’s lives on hold. I believe all the medical staff themselves are still excellent. Covid jabs very efficient,. Repeat prescriptions very efficient. If you are called in for routine checks, very efficient. But you cannot make your own appointment. The hours I have spent on the phone. Six weeks waiting list to see a doctor. 65th waiting on the phone. Absolutely poor. Really shows the state on this country and it's services . It's becoming almost 3rd world care. I was here yesterday around 11:30am Receptionist ( lady long black hair ) she completely ignore me. after referal from Trowbridge hospital -my pressure it was 166/112 and blooding from nose more than 40 min. no body help me!!!! 2 Doctors said my Mom was end of life! 2 weeks later one swans into the home and said she isn’t?! What is correct? I’m so pleased I didn’t tell her this… poor! Doesn’t give you much faith in Drs does it 🤔 she also told me that my mom wasn’t the only resident in the home, having seen her for 5 mins in 5 years that she has lived In the area. Disregarding what could possibly be a cancerous growth on her face. Do your job properly Dr and you might get the respect you deserve! You have to be feeling quite well in order to access an on the day at this surgery which is the only way to get an appt at all. It takes me a long time to feel well enough in mornings, This week I have had to call 111 to access an on Monday Thursday I had to go to MIU who were empathetic and helpful. They rang WGP asking for a Dr to call me as I was in so much pain and finding it hard to breathe. WGP rang me immediately but on my landline knowing that I could not possibly be home and then sent a message to my mobile telling me to call the next day. I feel strongly that receptionists should not be trained to avoid talking to patients . In the short time that I received the text I find it very hard to believe that a Dr was consulted and chose not to have the time to make a quick tel consultation however busy he/she was. I fully appreciate how busy the Drs are but if you are on duty then I feel that there should not be a cut off where you refuse care. I worked as a trained nurse for over 50 years and can barely remember a day when I did not work free overtime to help patients in my care. How has Primary become a service where patient comes a poor second to time management? I have nothing but respect for the nurses and support staff at WGP who work under the same pressure as the doctors and who always smile and go above and beyond to ensure patients are treated with empathy and respect. I know this might seem like an unmeasured rant but I cannot give a good review to whoever made the decision today to refuse me care. I will be making a complaint when I feel well enough to take that on. In the meantime I would like to say how helpful and caring the nurses and support staff and Dr Ward have been over this past year. We have been very impressed with the services provided Have called up several times after 5pm to try and book an (I work until 5 everyday and unable to wait an hour to try and get through to reception). Once I say what the problem is the reception suddenly can’t hear me and screams down the phone at me. Funny how I can hear them perfectly, I have full signal and there were no issues until I asked to see a nurse! Don’t work in healthcare if you cannot be bothered to help people- an attempt to call back or even text would be appreciated.
