I use the but it's so much more than a -- it's the best community centre I've seen in the world; and I've been to over 20 countries. The is good, busy, full of children, old people, teens and people like me seeking a quiet place to work. The staff are helpful. The cafe does great coffee and cake but I've never tried anything else there. It's the only I've ever heard about that has a in the basement, a climbing wall in the hall and a host of huge rooms down the corridor where people do kung-fu, dancing, yoga, ping pong and goodness knows what else. And it continues outside where they have two big carparks, a huge kids play area (really busy in the mornings), tennis courts and about three football pitches that are floodlit and really busy at night. Why doesn't every town have a place like this? I've never seen such use of public money, and considering we all pay taxes (except the likes of Amazon and Facebook) why aren't there more places offering this dizzying range of services? This small town community centre is a model for the rest of the world. A great centre with a variety of facilities. We sometimes use the library, which is connected to other Wiltshire libraries for easy returning of books. The swimming is great, and the free car park is a real bonus compared with other Wiltshire leisure centres. The swimming is fairly simple - it has a shallow end (0.9m) but nothing for very small children. The swimming lockers require padlocks - bring your own, or buy one from reception. Great and gym. Has various activities, sports and clubs being run on site. They also have a Youth club that use one of the rooms on Fridays for 11-18 year olds. You can also enquire to have a child's party there. There is also a and cafe on site. Fantastic local facility. We often use the play park, field, etc but this time tried the library. Very quiet clean and well stocked. A credit to Corsham! Update May 2025 - while the outdoor facilities are still the swimming leaves a lot to be desired. Very tired and dirty. Shame - it really lets down the rest of the campus. place to relax and get some workout done in the sun to get photocopies in the Library. Friendly helpful staff, but you need cash if your copy's come to under £1 It’s a great place, I love the swimming pool, the gym, the lockers are good, the changing rooms are enough but I do have a few issues too. All the Staff are very friendly too, mustn’t forget that, they all do a job! Membership pricing - it’s way too expensive and the fact you only do student memberships at certain times if the year is appalling. I’m not saying that I don’t get my moneys worth, but i think they can definitely afford to do these discounts with the large sum of members they receive daily. Great family venue, library, cafe, wall climbing and large rooms can be rented out ...
