Very nice pub in a great location. The are very and welcoming. The food is very and well presented. I had the salt and pepper squid and the Mill burger, both of were and full of flavour. Just drops short of being top class, But still very good, worth a visit. pub food, really and dog 😀 Food is reasonable and really nice. Would this place to friends and family. Great place to get a drink - a really characterful building set in a very nice location, it has a south facing garden/patio area next to the River Frome and plenty of seating inside. There are nice beers on tap including a house ale (at the of visiting) and it's clear that the landlord knows the right type of beers to get. The are all very and courteous and as the food is highly recommended by friends who have eaten there it'll be on the menu for another visit. Absolutely fantastic come to mind when describing this pub! Beautiful setting with the river Frome running through it makes it a really special place to sit with family or friends and have a very well made meal! Being from London, I would say the dishes we had here were above parr to what we are used to eating there and paying there. Steak Frites absolutely 10/10 especially with the Parmesan and truffle fries upgrade. The Mushroom Tortellini again was 10/10 beautifully present and tasted absolutely amazing. So was the and the fish and chips. I would absolutely this place for anyone looking for a bite to eat when in and around the area. The highlight of the night was how the were, very welcoming and smiles all round. Wonderful live music was there too by way of a karaoke which was lovely. It certainly felt like a home away from home. Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and we all thank you for the delicious food you made us especially that late in the night. What a setting. Booked online for a meal and was exactly what I needed. Local pub feel with a table setting for food. Food was excellent, we went for the burger. Staff was excellent, helpful and pleasant to the correct level. Pool table and games in a separate section that are free to use. I would say a must visit. The roast dinner we both had was delicious, all cooked perfectly. Pudding was so too. The waitress who served us was a sweet girl and her timing was perfect. We this place with 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Booked a Sunday lunch for 8 for our anniversary, and had a brilliant time! The even brought out an extra little plate at pudding to celebrate 🥰 Very who happily chatted with us. We felt a little rushed when we first arrived, as we were told on the phone we could only have the table for 1hr40. However when it came down to it, no one told us we had to leave at the they’d mentioned so we relaxed a little after that. Very nice pub, food. Outside seating by the river is fab. Interesting to see the old mill wheel downstairs as well Such a brilliant hidden gem - would to anyone. We loved the lamb burgers and the limoncello affogato was amazing. Worth a visit if you’re looking for a shady pub garden, some games, and delicious food and drink! place! Our Sunday roasts were delicious & they catered for veggies / vegans. They have a really drink selection too. The are & very attentive. They also even have a dog menu! Plus lots of indoor or outdoor seating over looking the river. Best pub I've been to in awhile! We will be back very soon, thank you! Went for our 25th wedding anniversary meal, the fish came out burnt to a crisp , peas were cold and chips were dry , when asked if food was ok , we said it was overcooked and all we got was "sorry about that" and the member walked away. I then went and said how awful it was and he agreed and took it back to the kitchen , not even offering me an alternative. When I booked online it asked for a special occasion and they would try to make it extra special ! The food should not have been allowed out of the kitchen. I didn't pay for the fish and chips as I couldn't eat it , but we had no discount on the bill as way of an apology, I just went away hungry and very disappointed. location, reflected in the prices. Service was very pleasant and added to the bill without having to be asked. and chips was just that - and chips, the sauerkraut and other veg listed on the menu are toppings for the burger, not sides. If you like to pay for the location and are always forgetting to add service charge or tips to the bill then this is the pub for you. Ps, I wonder whether the was made on site? I'd have hoped so given the cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here for Xmas. Apparently the turkey was very tasty and tender. The roast potatoes were just how I like them, really well done. The mushroom, cranberry and Somerset Brie Wellington was so good. In fact so I immediately bought the same ingredients to have a go at doing something similar. The flavour was gorgeous. The were all happy, polite and friendly. The atmosphere was buzzy. The food didn't get five stars because the pastry and potatoes weren't crisp enough. I think it was.probably due to be xmas and being so busy. I'd definitely go again. We did a circular walk around the river which was beautiful and another reason to return. Off season on a Tuesday eve, we pulled into a quite carpark. First thoughts stunning place, location but why so quiet? Go in the the place, few locals their dogs at the bar. We were the first patrons for food. Candle lit on the table, super cosy interior. Our waiter was excellent great sense of humor. Decent beer on tap, food was excellent, nothing was too much. A few more guests came in for food, atmosphere. family run place. One of the best meals we've had out in a long time. I'm still asking myself why so quite, the night before we ate at a beefeater just for the ease of not going out again. Our food at the Mill was tenfold better, nicer environment and great service with absolutely no rush for a couple of quid more. Highly recommend, ps looked to be the most dog place we've been with a doggy menu. Wish ours had been with us Incredible food , wonderful service. Thoroughly recommend. Whilst not cheap, it was extremely value for money and ingredients were top notch. Tomahawk steak sharing platter for 2 was amazing. Comes on a hot stone Visited for a family celebration Sunday last... a double birthday 🎂 Waited a long for a pre-booked table for 10. Once seated service was exemplary, ambience very homely and now to the roast... Well it was truly outstanding, cooked to perfection, well seasoned, my oh my this is a chef who knows their stuff. Not some mish mash collaboration of soggy veg and overcooked meat, this was fully thought out with attention to detail, to both palate and taste, 10/10 to the chef... Come and cook for me, i loved it. I know great cuisine and this was it!! A Sunday roast to remember ☺ I recently attended a wedding here and the were wonderful. They truly went above and beyond to ensure all of the guests had the best time. The food was excellent and the venue is stunning. Highly recommended.
