Fabulous pub and lunch. A proper pub you might say - they even have a dog menu (why doesn't every dog friendly pub do that ?) As it was we had a superb lunch - beautiful chalk stream trout, the best F&C I've had for ages and a gorgeous panna cotta. We'll be back - the village and local area are beautiful also Spent the night here recently. Room was nice and comfortable with all the usual extras, quality tea, coffee and toiletries were a nice touch. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant, it was exceptional quality with great service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit here. Top class. Amazing shop, lovely tea house. The desserts are wonderful m. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse cake. The tawny port is exquisite as well as a nice selection of tea and coffees. The service is amazing and the owners are wonderful. If you are in Bragança you must make time for a stop. I promise you will be glad you did. The atmosphere is fantastic as well make sure you don’t miss the wonderful opportunity to stop here. How all gastro-pubs should be! A very warm welcome, Chris was awesome & made us feel at home for our entire stay. The staff were very accommodating, and went to enormous trouble to make my brother’s 21st birthday special. Food was impeccable, drink selection was great with an impressive wine list too. I will definitely be returning. Thank you My wife and I had a lovely time at the pub. We stayed for two nights, the pub is situated in rural Salisbury and it is the only real peace I had in 3 years. We met James, affable gentlement, prepared to talk and make us feel comfortable and at ease. Thank, you for making our stay a pleasurable one. Dinner options from the restaurant had nice variety with both meals ordered being very delicious. Breakfast was also very fast and delicious as well. The small village was very quite and a nice place to get away for the evening. Was even able to catch a glimpse of the man himself. Only knocking the room down one star because there were quite a few spiders in there when we arrived. The best meal we have had out in a long long time. Food, service ambience all excellent. We are local (Tisbury) and in my opinion The Royal Oak is at least 2 stars better than the well known very highly rated (by the Sunday Times) Beckford Arms in Tisbury which is not bad. Absolutely fantastic couple of hours. Cannot over recommend.
