Nearly €50 for 3 plates of tapas and 2 very small glasses of wine. Then they tell you that they don't accept card payments! Nice view and great wine. The food is good, however I took off 3 stars because it is extremely overpriced once you compare it to the other places around. We spent on 3 small tapas for three people the same amount as we spent on a 3-course dinner for four at a restaurant close by. The espresso was not very good, some of the wines were very over-priced and their price-tags were confusing or incorrect. The staff was not very helpful and mostly seemed annoyed by having to meet customers. Not recommended! The glasses of wine we were served were awful. They smelled off, tasted sour and flat, and had no fruitiness at all. Honestly, they were completely undrinkable. Gross. Poor service. Doesn’t know the difference between americano and espresso. If you just have a coffee, you can’t sit down for a few minutes at a patio table even though all are completely empty. A coffee is 3.50 EUR, which is about 3x the normal price. Service is unfriendly. Also known as “Vale do Tabua Wine & Tapas” (they seem to keep 2 names to trick google reviews, you can easily find and read additional reviews for this place under “Vale do Tabua Wine & Tapas” name. Total scam, don’t spoil your time in Douro by going to this place. Service women constantly on the phone for 1 hour. And not discretely (which would be okay, since she is here all alone the whole day), no she‘s shouting, singing and cursing and all on the speaker.. Wine was okay but expensive! Obligation de manger pour 25€ par personne, donc à deux nous avons pris 3 tapas de 15€ mais avons tout d’eux même payé 50€. Obligée également de prendre une boisson à minimum 5€ (même l’eau). Et paiement en espèce uniquement. Nous ne recommandons pas du tout cet attrape touristes. Seul point positif et heureusement : la nourriture est très bonne et le cadre sympa. Não tenho palavras para descrever o qual mal educados são as duas pessoas que estão à frente deste espaço, principalmente a senhora que foi só preciso virar as costas para ouvir ela falar mal de nós. Não recomendo de todo. Um espaço que deixa muito a desejar tanto pela a aparência tanto pelo o serviço. E se a única coisa boa é a vista recomendo restaurantes ao redor que garantem a mesma vista ou melhor e condições muito melhor em todos os pontos. Não venham! The waitress was beyond surly. We tried to move from the air-conditioned inside to the outside table when someone moved and she refused to allow us to make that move, even though we had ordered some very expensive port. So we took our glasses outside instead and watched the river boats passing by on the sidewalk. When we tried to find her to pay, she was gone, so we just left. Would not recommend this place at all. Terrible wine and unsanitary conditions. AVOID!!
