Such a nice place for relaxing and swimming First time here. I was looking for somwhere to launch my canoe. I was early so just a few dog walkers about. Canoe launching was good from here. Looks like a nice river into Stratford. Plenty of wild life . Lovely place for a and a picnic. Great open into Stratford . 10 mins Great place for swim and sunbathing. Bbq and fires are ok. Not sure about the law but people are doing it so it must be a go. River current is gentle and about 1m deep. Water clean and warm. Nice nature surrounding. Perfect to wind down or familly trip. Car park is pay and display. Summer has begun, swimming, paddle boarding and sunbathing. Gorgeous A lovely place to park right by the river and ideal for launching canoes, paddle boards and having a picnic etc. It’s also perfect for a along the river into Stratford upon Avon town, with some lovely properties on the other side to put on your wish list! The river path has recently been resurfaced and is flat so a nice (pushchair and wheelchair friendly) 15 minute into town. I would have given 5 stars, but the car park is now a pay and display, it used to be free! PS it can get busy especially at weekends so arrive early to get a parking space. Perfect place to park up and have a beautiful along the river Avon with plenty of spots for the dog to easily access the water. Straight into Stratford and around the town. Perfect parking / walking / swimming spot.
