Visited the free museum about the historic past of the city and the spas. It was really interesting! ICONIC building in leamington that has been turned in to a at the front and a library at the back. Lovely venue near the river and the beautiful pump room gardens opposite. On the bottom of main parade 5 / 10 mins walk from the main shopping area however definitely the nicest part of town & a good meeting place . The Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa is a beautifully restored historic site that offers a fascinating glimpse into the town's rich spa heritage. Originally built in 1814 as a spa bath and pump room, it has been transformed into a cultural center that houses an art gallery, museum, library, and café. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the history of Leamington Spa’s Victorian spa culture and view various artifacts related to the era. The art gallery features changing exhibitions, often showcasing regional and contemporary works. The building itself is a gem of Regency architecture, and its riverside location near Jephson Gardens adds to its charm. Overall, the Royal Pump Rooms is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, art, or simply looking for a pleasant day out in a picturesque setting. Pleasant visit to the cafe. Lots of cakes and pastries ! Fabulous place for Argentine tango. Lovely atmosphere and dance floor. No parking but pay car parks nearby. Cafe next door is pleasant too. It was a lovely base for my first ever visit to Leamington, great choice of snacks and beverages with beautiful views of the Park and old Town. My only issue, considering there were plenty of they were slow at clearing tables between diners. Went to see the Pump Room but it was filled with an Xmas market and absolutely packed. So great for shoppers but useless for a tourist! Even on a rainy windy day it is obvious that it in a lovely location next to the river Leam Nice building with plenty of historical value. I use to swim here over 30 years ago. All of the seemed pleasant. My only moan was the latte I had was served in a glass with no handle. A hot drink should have a handle. The cost was £3.10p and was rather small. So, not value for money. The was also very noisy with the grinder next to the till. The cake was very dry so not sure how fresh it was. All in all expensive if you just want a and cake I would choose somewhere else in the future. I just visited the today. Such a lovely relaxing, light and airy place. A slight queue for drinks but the were extremely friendly and happy to serve. I had a fruit tea then sat on the stools by the entrance where there are plugs and usb ports to charge your phone/laptop. There apparently was WiFi but I couldn't get it to work so I did offline work. I wonder if the WiFi is better in the library though? A pleasant surprise, lovely food, exceptional and a team of young professional eager to help. A rare experience these days, well done all 👌 Good and good food and drinks. Can be busy, so may not get a seat. Service is prompt. Will certainly go again! The Larder at the Pump Rooms has recently opened and it looks fab!! I went there on a busy Sunday afternoon but the service was excellent and very quick! Nice selection of pastries and sandwiches, perfectly served (I love it when it comes in small, manageable amounts, I don’t like drinking by pints ;) ). Keep up the good work Larder team! Popped in popped in to The gallery with amazing had to look Around the gallery exciting place it was awesome place good place to see peter great place Superb awesome time was verified place Peter Carre working artist. Arrived at the 3:14pm at the their on a Saturday sunny afternoon only to find removing food trays to the back and claiming it was all gone. Served our drinks in take away cups after we sat down and were putting chairs up reducing seating area so early. By 3:30 pm, a few tables were off limits. Why is the food being removed so early? Does take it home?. Please tell me it is not binned or worse, saved for next day. I was told by a few other customers that this is what they do all the time. I was really disappointed. I have time stamped pictures and posted them on trip advisor. Did not feel welcome and will not be returning. Awesome place to relax. Liked the parks and the fields. Went to a wonderful chamber concert here. Great acoustic. My friends and I visit this everyday for a takeaway and lunch whilst we work in the library. Normally a great experience, most of the very nice. Today, 10 minutes before the library opened we went to the and got a drink in this nearly empty cafe. After 5 minutes the owner came over to us and very rudely said we could not stay here as we have only bought one drink and gave us a talk on how we were damaging her business. Would have been very happy to buy more drinks if the owner had been nicer! Safe to say we will not be coming back.
