A with a great variety of exhibits from the past covering the social of Invergordon. There is a lot of information on the Navy as Invergordon was an important naval base in both world wars. The displays describe the events of a disaster when HMS Natal's ammunition magazine exploded on New Year's Eve in 1915 resulting with the ship sinking and a large loss of life. Other displays cover the oil industry as the port services North Sea oil rigs. There is a large medical section describing past practices and treatments. Local social is also covered. The is an interesting place to visit, and relies on donations for support, with no entrance fee. A great place to stop with a really good collection of artifacts and memorabilia that takes you back in time. The nautical and maritime includes artifacts recovered from the sea that make it particularly intresting to seafarers. Great little with a of hosting British Military and allies during WWII. Good size for the area. About 30-45 minutes to see it. Free admission/donation requested. Beautiful display, the is donations only. A great considered it is in a small town. Very nice staff and they kindly told some of the town. Got some vintage cameras that I am very interested in. After visiting the museum, I recommend go outside and turn left, got some good view and nice thing that u just learned. Unfortunately the day I visited is raining, otherwise a good place to stay for a while outside the museum. This is an "old fashioned" but is a window into the culture of Invergorden past. I thought it was worth the time. The RNLI shop ajoins! Small local museum, really interesting, nothing fancy! A quick visit. This is a great wee full of Scottish and UK maritime history. I particularly liked the story of the tragic sinking of the Natal, the impact of the Polish people on the community and the local of the area and the people who live there. As this is a charm, please support it by donating generously.
