Good informations centre for book tours. Nice services & helpful . I am glad this Tourist Information Centre has not been closed. I like to come here for a brochure and any possible leaflets/maps they might have. Recently, I was given useful information on Orkney and Shetland. The lady that served me knew her stuff. The other thing is they have some nice souvenirs for sale, which adds the personal touch. The Tourist Office is like your library, use it or lose it. This one on the High Street is really good. A big loss, particularly for independent businesses that would not be top hits for online information and searches. Also will miss addressing the personalised needs of unfamiliar visitors in a single place, from how to take a bus, where to buy what, the best shopping districts, options for traditional food.
