Great food place for a lunch. There is a good menu available here with plenty of choice. A children’s menu is available as well. The food is excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. There are cooked main meals available or you could just have coffee and a cake here as well. There are two main seating areas, one inside the main part of the building that doesn’t have much of a view or in the newer conservatory part which does. There are also tables outside which are fine on a good day. There is a good children’s play park outside the main building and near the seating area which is ideal for families with younger children. The food was outstanding, for the price. Absolutely loved it here, a real little gem. It's not brilliantly signposted from the main road so keep your eyes peeled (or use Google maps of course!) but do stop in even if it's just for a cream tea. Great menu selection. Very pleasant staff. So glad I stumbled upon this place. You will be well looked after here in a beautiful location with everything you need in well equipped, beautifully furnished accommodation. Second time we've stayed here and it was just as good as we remembered the first time. Easy access from car park. Good menu choice. Spacious eating area with front entrance seating more suited to those with mobility issues. parents using prams, buggies etc. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good service. Stopped off here for a coffee whilst working. The staff we're friendly and polite. Prices are reasonable and the coffee was good, although my latte had a little too much foam for my liking. The décor is clean and warm. Edit: I've now eaten here and the food is delicious. I ordered one of the specials which was a mushroom, garlic and thyme soup which was very tasty, albeit a little heavy on the garlic for my taste. We visited in 2018 and still talk about this place. We arrived before they were open looking for coffee and were greeted with such hospitality. They let us in, gave us a hot drink and we ended up chatting for about an hour. Can't wait to one day go back. Had the most disappointing experience from the staff at this place. Went in with my wife and daughter for lunch and I was told we had to pay for food at the time of order. At the time it did not feel unusual only to find out soon that they were fine with rest of the customers paying after they had their meals. I asked why we were asked to pay upfront to the guy who served us to which the reply was “ sometimes we ask people to pay upfront. Don’t worry, we trust you”. We left without finishing the food. Quite disgusted that it ruined our whole day. My experience at the dairy today was extremely disappointing as I have heard so many wonderful things about it . I ordered a smoked salmon salad which consisted of half a bag of rocket lettuce , 2 small pieces of smoked salmon and a slice of crispy bacon . It was tasteless and certainly not worth the £8 I was charged . The waitress asked how my meal was I told her very disappointing but she did not seem concerned by my comment at all . I understand that each cafe / restaurant may have there own take on what a salad is but to serve such as pitiful meal to a paying customer has let this establishment down big time .
