Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

Inverness, United Kingdom Golf club

One of the Best Places To Visits in Rosemarkie Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. One of the oldest links course in Scotland, well maintained. Clubhouse, spacious parking. Place where is always windy so play low and easy. Course itself was a bit boring for me not much variety. Greens were nice as well as teeboxes. Fairways firm rolling fast. Course is divided in the half with road to lighthouse, where is turning point and nice par 3 what I would signature hole. Overall, its worth a visit due the history background. The service here was great. The food was well presented and tasted delicious. The haggis bon bons are definitely worth a try. You need to be a member to eat here, however you can get a temporary membership, which is cheap. If you're looking for a place with views over the Moray Firth in a relaxed environment with good food and friendly service then I'd highly recommend it. Had a fabulous game. course. Lost a few balls mind you in the gorse. Fairways quite tight in places. But playing by the water was wonderful, peaceful sounds of lapping water fantastic. My favorite course in Scotland so far! This was an amazing experience. The course was in perfect shape and the unique layout and phenomenal views were so special. Aside from a forgiving and beautiful golf course, the staff here are kind and welcoming to women and made us feel right at home. 10/10 !! Bonus: we saw dolphins right off the first tee 🤩 Had a pre round lunch in the clubhouse, which was very nice, staff were friendly. We had a late afternoon tee time, with a buggie which we had pre booked. The fairways and greens were firm, which gave plenty of run on every shot. The holes were good, with some exceptional views. Our booking was made by emailing the day before. We got a discounted green fee through the James Braid Association. I would definitely play here again. I barely play golf, but still could recognize how amazing this place was. Non-stop beautiful views and an overall welcoming environment. 15st oldest course in the world! First time playing in Scotland and first time on a links course. It was amazing to play there. The staff (including Eddie the caddie) were fantastic! It was a experience and I would play it again if I could! One of Scotland’s tracks. Robert and Jack in the well stocked pro shop welcoming and helpful. Greens were immaculate and every hole a new and view. And the club house has some beer and food for afters!
