Food is ok tasting, but nothing really stands out. Like a level above your standard pub grub. Staff is just lovely, very friendly. This place is amazing, fantastic food and fantastic service. They are very welcoming and kind. We fell in love with the menu art and they were so kind to let us keep one of the menus. We offered to pay but they didn't want anything in exchange, so we left a tip to thank them for their kindness. I would definitely recommend a stop if you are in the area, the vibe is fantastic and the place is casy and welcoming. It was our first time eating here and we made our reservation for a table at the very last minute. On arrival we were greeted warmly. The restaurant is attractively furnished and decorated. We’d ordered just after a large party and had quite a wait but when the food arrived it was very enjoyable. We will be back! We only had dinner there. It was excellent Quality. Lots of quantity. Strongly recommend. Service is very nice. Kid friendly. Had a fantastic Father’s Day meal Sunday roast was perfectly cooked and plenty of it, soup was tomato and home made. Great atmosphere and the staff absolutely awesome, all very young and attentive and polite. Our first visit but won’t be the last ! Delicious food with excellent service. Portion sizes were a bit large for us but that is not a criticism, they were happy to provide a box for our leftovers. A really lovely atmosphere and the singing pianist was very good. Booked for business, long drive to get here for payment to be taken as we check in, given our key then advised unfortunately the bar and restaurant are closed Tuesday and Wednesdays now. There is no breakfast available and the nearest restaurant is back to Inverness - another 15 minute drive….. No irons in the room, couldn’t turn the heating off (24 degrees outside) and rock pillows to add to the experience. No staff in the building at any time during our stay, this was not a hotel an Airbnb with no amenities. So disappointed to say the least, was trying to support local… Booked a room for a family trip in July 2025. The reservation was made and confirmed in December 2024. Just two weeks before our trip the hotel informed us that they need to cancel since it was overbooked and that we can cancel for free. I booked on Booking and I took it with a free cancellation. It seems that they have the hotel listed on several platforms and cannot manage it properly and double book and then have to cancel. Not a single apology, like it was a service that they were providing us and that we are “privileged” to have the option to cancel for free. If you want to avoid any bad surprises book directly with the hotel, since they don’t seem to care about the Booking reservations.
