We didn’t have anything to eat as the place was closed for a private event, but the place is beautiful. The beach is really nice and the landscape looks beautiful and one of a kind place. We did order some coffee from the food truck in the garden area and took some nice pictures of the place. This was part of our road trip in Scotland. Funny thing is that we were in Scotland about 9 years ago and back then people sure looked nicer. The Dores Inn is a quaint restaurant that has some tasty food! I had the fish and chips which was pretty good. My boyfriend had the haggis starter which he said was really good, and he really enjoyed the fish and chips as well. My friends said the soup and their burgers were absolutely amazing, my one friend said this was her favourite meal from Scotland! Personally not my favourite, but a good stop at the famous Loch Ness. The service was great, we had a very friendly and great waitress. The views were beautiful, you can eat inside (very small inside but okay) or outside with views of Loch Ness. There is parking outside but limited, and the bathroom is only accessible outside and it isn’t the cleanest bathroom but decent. This is definitely a casual place, but fun to visit for the views. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Absolutely loved our visit to The Dores Inn! The setting is breathtaking — right on the shores of Loch Ness, with views that make you want to linger a little longer. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, and they made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour — you can tell they care about quality. Whether you’re just popping in for a drink or sitting down for a full meal, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!” There is a terrace and places inside. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Very tasty, there is a national Scottish dish. Order only through a QR code, which is on each corner of the table with the table number. Although grilled dishes in the menu are indicated with serving in 45 minutes, the order was completed much faster. I recommend this establishment. Have visited the main restaurant many times to eat in and always enjoyed it. As it was a hot busy summers day we ate outside from the outdoor area. Limited menu and quite pricey for what it was. Misread the fish item thought it was fish and chips but came as a wrap. The fish wrap was very greasy and not that tasty. Drinks were very pricey and none of the usual brands just premium priced 'fancy' brands in small sized cans. The outdoor tent was a lifesaver on such a hot day and view is fantastic with huge tables and benches. Ambience was spoiled by groups of French middle aged tourists clustered together smoking which then drifted into the eating area. Overall pretty dissappointed by the experience and the food but not by the view. Excellent food truck, where the food is made with fresh produce. PIcnic tables and benches overlook the lake! For me, this is the best place to take a break. Excellent food, although it was from a foodtruck outside, kitchen itself was closed. Good variety of beers, very cosy atmosphere and loved by the locals. Nice view over Loch Ness Always best vibes whenever we go. This time we went for drinks and to enjoy the views of the Lochness. Nice day for it. Great service too!
