This is a fine Hotel in the Center of Town. Breakfast is good and it is served in a room with a view. The staff is help full. The room is nice with a great bed. On arrival, after a difficult journey in extremely hot weather, what I really needed was drink and food, neither of which were available as both the bar and restaurant were closed. In fact the place was utterly deserted! There was no one to welcome me and I eventually got the room key from the key safe, after a phone call to the owners. I was absolutely exhausted and really didn’t want to have to traipse around a seemingly deserted Nabburg to find somewhere to eat, but there was no other choice. It was a very disappointing end to a tough day. Breakfast was good and the owner seems like a nice guy, but this really wasn’t the experience that I wanted or needed. It was a huge let down and I cannot recommend this hotel. The hotel is managed beautifully with great care for the visitors. The owner/operator Alex takes great time to engage with those staying to put together menus, information, and pretty much anything someone stating could want. The hotel is a remodeled 600+ year old monastery. The character of the rooms and the views from the hotel simply beautiful. Great hotel. Very clean, comfortable. Great food. Owner is very nice.
