Great stop for lunch with food. It is dog with the being very towards our dog. If you're looking for somewhere with a classic pub feeling and amazing food, this is where to go! Lots of outside picnic tables for the option to sit outside too. We aren't in Perth much these days, but back in the day the Pitcairngeen Inn was a a place we used and liked. An unplanned stop today for a light lunch in gloriius sunshine to sit outside and enjoy a nice cask ale, a quirky fun menu to choose from and they kindly allowed us to share a pie....with no drama or tutting as some other places might. The pie was excellent too as was the Turkish delight cheesecake! The cherry on top was the smiling, helpful girls who were serving. A really enjoyable visit and highly recommended We were recommended to come here by local friends. As we were on holiday. The food was delicious. All & traditional pub grub but done well. Lots on the specials board & a children’s menu. We had haggis nachos. Macaroni cheese. Fish & chips. Scampi & chips. Also a kids burger. For dessert it was cherry pavlova. Which was one of the best desserts I’ve had 🤩. The portion sizes are really too. They also do smaller portions, hence the 3 courses 😆 The were very friendly. We also took home, tablet. (A traditional Scottish sweet). Thank you for a nice last night of our weekend away. We’ll definitely be back. Found this place on Google maps as it was the nearest place. It had reviews and was dog so thought we should give it a try. We weren't disappointed, the were very and the regulars we spoke to were also really nice. We had a lovely meal in a great atmosphere, bonus was that it's super dog friendly. stopped off here with family on way home from Dundee its a typical kind of old fashioned village pub but have to say the food choice offered definitely wasn't whoever the chef is keep him ! Our food was amazing all home made none of the typical "pub grub" and massive portions even kids menu choice was brilliant were lovely and we would definitely recommend a visit and will be back soon My bro and me stopped here for a couple of pints on our amazing cycle run. We didn't try the food but will definitely stop for food the next time. This was our first time visiting this beautiful establishment. The are so kind and welcoming. We both had a time visiting and I would definitely stop off here again. Would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff. You all made our day even better. Me and my partner were visiting the area from North Yorkshire for the week, we struggled to find some local pubs which had a menu that popped out and that welcomed our furry friend! After discovering the Pitcairngreen inn, we were pleasantly surprised, upon first glance the pub looks a touch deserted from the exterior; but we put this down to the gloomy day and damp weather. After walking through the door we were greeted by a lovely young man who was more than happy to assist us and get us seated at a table and give us some time to review the food and drink choices. The food, what can I say other than superb! We were both flabbergasted as the quality of the food, we ordered the Nachos to share as a starter; accompanied with cheese and fried chicken, and what a treat, all by the looks of things, the portion size was large but it was devoured nevertheless! To follow for main, we enjoyed a and ale pie and a Sirloin steak, cooked medium to rare. And I can comfortably say, it was cooked to perfection and accompanied by the best Parmesan chips for the and fries for the pie. To finish we devoured the fudge sundae, topped with ice cream and hand whipped cream! Perfect presentation! I finished off with a dark chocolate cheesecake accompanied again by their very own vanilla ice cream! To top it all off, a very pleasant experience and service received from the on a whole. Special compliments to the young gentleman behind the bar whom served us this evening and the chef(s) who prepared such mouthwatering courses. Tim, Becki & Betty! Delicious home-made food, x 2 pie, was best I have had, loads of tender meat and plenty gravey, macaroni cheese & Katsu Chicken, stick toffee puddings & after eight cheese cake 😋 all and attentive, busy wee country pub with a atmosphere and I found it very reasonably priced for a meal for 4, highly recommend, we will definitely be back.
