During my time living in Kostrena I have immensely enjoyed the morning walks and runs along the beach. The fresh morning air coupled with fantastic views make this a favorite. There are people walking, running and walking their dogs in the morning and evenings. Very peaceful place. Blue waters , pebble beaches. Walking trail around beach. Y aller tôt ou tard pour avoir une place 😉 The names of Croatian beaches should be changed by deleting "beach" to "rocky shoreline" as there really is no traditional with sand that we have found in this part of Croatia. The waters are crystal clear, are very beautiful and extremely chilly in the morning hours, even in August, due to fresh springs and thermal clines. The warms up in the afternoon, though. What all of these shoreline entry points desperately need, are public bathrooms with showers and changing rooms. Also, there is a huge entrepreneurial opportunity to rent sand chairs, mats to lie down on, and shade umbrellas. A beautiful beach, crystal clear sea, several bars nearby, reasonably priced parking available, 1 star short of perfect score because it was quite crowded. The only downside is a bunch of cigarette buds stuck in between the rocks, which smokers leave. But I've noticed that that's an issue throughout all the beaches we visited in the area. People just don't seem to care that much about their environment. I loved the bar, the staff was really nice :) The is crystal clear, you can see different type of fish underwater. The sea cucumbers were my favorite.
