BEWARE! no sign that this sight is for rent only - when I entered, wanting to see the view from the top - with noone around - there were people eating and talking in a room inside - and I was surprised the same way as them, and one was good enough to say this is private, we rented it and you're in our room now. really embarrassing - there should be a sign or access only to those who rent it. Wonderful views of the landscape from up high. You can't go in because it's rented as holiday accommodation. But worth a short walk from Punta Prima. Loved the place, great history and just below is a monument carve in stone of special interest. Brilliant. It was pretty to look at, but had a handwritten sign to stay out, because it's private property. Bit of a let down not to get closer to it. Walked to this site from the beach. Walk is on an incline but manageable. The door was locked so you can’t go up but we visited on a Sunday so it maybe different on a week day. The view is lovely and the sign gives a description about the history of the location. Don’t think you’d spend longer then 20 minutes here but still nice to see. Cool old tower with sweet views As we approached it we could see towels and clothes drying by the entrance. A chalk scrawl on the ground warned us it was private and entry forbidden. Youths were in the doorway and we were clearly not being allowed inside. Whether it is a squat or legitimately occupied there is no point visiting. What a shame this historical site has become a no go zone for visitors Given that it was 28° during the day and a busy walk we elected to leave at 06:40 in the quiet dark and watch the sunrise on our way. Lovely ½hour walk over rough paths and well directed with numbered sign posts. Easy to get over to sea cliffs beside path en route. The tower is not open to visitors but provides beautiful views over the sea and neighbouring village. As we walked back the heat started to build as did the number of walkers along the path! Back to the hotel in time for breakfast!
