A wonderful expanse of alongside the River Tay and around the coast towards St Andrews . Stunning views to be had and interesting relics of WW2 and other structures. Walking in from Tayport there is an RAF base,old pillboxes and anti tank blocks. Lots of local wildlife to be seen. Was a great from Larick campsite. Absolutely brilliant through the (saw a red squirrel too) before walking back along the beach. Spotlessly clean, loads of space without crowds, loads of parking which only cost £4 for the day ( pay at barrier on entry). Great way to spend a day with the dogs. Lots of joggers and cyclists too but there is loads of room. Definitely calling back here with the dogs. Fantastic big dunes and a HUGE with plenty trails through the for exploring. Can easily spend hours here. Car Park is £2 ... Need coins. There is a small tea/coffee/snack bar, picnic benches and a kids play area. When the tide is out the suits us soon to a T 👍. Electronic parking now too no need for coins if u have them still takes cash though. I recommend taking a bus to Tayport instead of Morton Loch. You can take bus 42 Stagecoach from Dundee. Do check out their website for more information on how to get there I really enjoyed the walk, beautiful birds and lochs. Would recommend downloading the map to see their walking trails. I great place 2 pounds parking coin only great value. Long beaches with seals and empty if you a bit. Forestry operations at the far end not pretty but once passed all good Beautiful long beach. Plenty of space to and find your own place to sit and relax. Has a large carpark with a playground and picnic area. One of My favourite Fife coast beaches. Woodland to explore to. Lovely place for a short or long walk.Parking fee of four pound but for all day until 2030hrs.Even spot for a coffee and food if you like crepes. A specter spot to visit and revisit. A long, dreamy locale in Fife that has a pine forest, rolling dunes, and a sprawling beach. Not terribly busy, but the car park can fill up. Perfect for a few hours of immersing yourself in big-sky nature. Great for dog walks. Massive woodland and quiet beach. The food stalls are good too. Only downside is the £2 coin charge. Nobody carries £2 anymore so it is an effort to go get money out and split it. If this was contactless it would be a lot beffer. The roads are quite small too on the way there too which is annoying but the location is worth it. Another favourite place for family walks. Long vast expanses of beaches, big open skies, and just beautiful walks too - parking easy too - we love it! Lovely place. Baffled as to why its closed at "sunset" arrive at 1300 in winter, expected to leave at 16:30 (spoken to a member of staff at the gate who assumed (because i had a campervan) i was staying overnight explained i was not just here for a walk, lots of bad press about campervans, i suspect deliberately. He acknowledged it was a minority group of visitors who ignored the rules including "car campers" ? Despite paying full price i was expected to leave at 16:30. which is ok as i live in the location area. it got me thinking tho, this odd place and what is the cord business strategy. I did wonder how much it costs for the horse boxes parking ( just outside the barrier) who use the service available for paid customers and with horses riding in the too. I didn't see any notification charges which was interesting. Why the forestry and land Scotland, decided not to provide overnight services to tourists or locals visiting this is also baffling, feels like " a league of gentlemen" scene, "this place is only for local people" 🤔 particularly the horse riding locals, a very odd setup indeed, but a beautiful place too.
