Amazing location. 5 min from St Andrews. Accommodation great. Very clean. Hot tub. Will definitely be Back. We stayed here for a week as a family of 4 with 2 young kids. The accommodation was very clean. The hot tub was great and boiling hot, its nicely hidden behind a fence so complete privacy is ensured. Was pleasantly surprised to find a small kids play frame on site which my kids enjoyed. The location is very peaceful but only 10 minutes from St Andrews where there are shops/restaurants. The only thing that could be improved was the bed was very firm and would benefit from a topper. Have just returned from a four night stay at Montgomery Executive Lodge and was very impressed with the cleanliness of the lodge, as well as its size. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner was huge compared to other lodges I have stayed. There was some wear and tear to the middle of the carpet but this wasn't an issue for me. The bedrooms were spacious and all had good sized ensuite showers. There was also a television in the bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped with dishwasher and the washing machine/tumble dryer was an added bonus. There was a sauna inside but we never used it. I believe there was a £45 daily charge for this. Towels were supplied for bathroom and hot tub. There was a small area outside for sitting and the hot tub was and warm. The grounds were well kept. St Andrews was a short drive from the lodge. Would definitely recommend this place. Honestly one of the best weekend holidays I had. Beautiful location, very quiet and only 5 min drive from amazing town of St Andrews. The lodge spotless clean, very spacious, super comfy bed. Amazing hot tub in the back overlooking nature but very private, we sat in it till VERY late even though it was freezing outside. This one as second time visiting the place and I will definitely be back again. Amazing stay, 5 stars from us. We've just returned from St Andrews Forest Lodges after our 2nd stay there. I'm already looking for our next trip. These lodges are far better than any we've stayed in previously. Immaculately on arrival, they have everything you need for a week's stay. These hot tubs are fantastic and very private. Staff - Pamela and Brenda were exceptionally helpful again, lovely welcoming and friendly people - Thank you! Would definitely recommend this gem of a site although selfishly don't want it so busy that I can't get booked myself 🤣. AAAAA+++++ St Andrews Forest Lodges are very well-built lodges in a forest with the most amazing views to the sea. Well positioned for getting to the St Andrews coast and nearby pretty towns and villages. We stayed at Montgomerie Executive Lodge. We loved seeing birds visiting their decks and the surrounding woodland. Sometimes it was to many loud crows flying around. Friendly and helpful staff and going out of their way to assist us, looking after equipment of hot tubs, mowing the lawn around the lodges. Opportunities for forest walks but very little area for the children's activities. The Lodge was clean, comfortable beautifully decorated, tastefully furnished and well-equipped with amenities like sauna and hot tub and easily fits five adults and little baby boy in three bedrooms. The sauna and the hot tub are a brilliant edition for the peaceful and families relaxing break. The Lodge exceeded our expectations and we could not fault the lodge. We will recommend to provide better kitchen utensils and diner crockery. For instance, we did not find proper bowls for breakfast cereals, the potato peeler separates from the handle, the frying pan bottom crumble and you don't have chance to cook on it. The kitchen kitted out for comfort and would recommend a boost maintenance of dishwasher and the washing machine which had a bad smell and dirt inside and out. The patio door handle loose and very difficult to close/open. One of big problem for our large family was low water pressure in the toilet flushing system in the lodge. But despite these little problems we would recommend and use St Andrews Forest Lodges again when visiting that area.
