The gives you a great view, a casual walk to the other side of the Isar, a safe and dry bike path. It's a bridge. It gets you from one side to the other. It does what it needs to. 😉 Oh and the view from the along the Isar valley is really nice. Also nice place to watch Silvester fireworks. While you can certainly cross the itself for good views, it might be more fun to join the swimmers below on a hot day. Once you are done, you are a 10 minute walk from the Waldwirtschaft beer garden on the west side/bank of the Isar River. Yes! Do not miss this place. Take a bike and enjoy the ride. Also, a great picnic area - it’s calm and beautiful. Very nice place to walk. The is an interesting architecturally. Walk trails along both banks of the river. We had a great hiking experience - with the S-Bahn from Munich to Großhesselohe and then hiking back to Munich. Absolutely wonderful Saturday experience. I live close by and whenever I spend time at the Isar I have a great experience. The only thing I must say during summertime its super annoying because it's getting so loud and crowded. We can hear everything that is going on. And also I live here since I was born and idk how many people jumped from that bridge. It is so disturbing specially for us residents. One time me and my mom was sitting there enjoying the views and someone jumped and landed close by us! When I’m telling you I never sit close to that again and we will never forget what we saw!
