We initially inquired at another campsite, which was already fully booked. However, the owner there promptly contacted her colleague at Woodlands Caravan Park and helped us find a spot. The Woodlands Caravan Park is absolutely beautiful and run with so much love and dedication. The owner is a wonderful lady who takes her time with guests and explains everything calmly. We highly recommend this campsite! Small site, and well maintained...owners are very friendly. Site is spotless and well-manicured grass areas with amazing flower displays. Toilets are always clean with terrific showers. Fantastic wee site and lovely and quiet. Spent 3 nights here and a 5 minute walk to the High Street to shops and cafés. Will definitely be back... Stayed for three nights end May/June. Lovely campsite, lovely people running it, very friendly. Everything was so clean and well organised. Shower/toilet a little dated, but everything worked fine and kept scrupulously clean. I particularly liked the shower curtain, so the floor was not sopping wet when towelling off and getting dressed Walk out the back gate, onto a park, perfect for walking our dog. 10 minutes walk down into the town, pubs and restaurants there. Great Bakery, J & M Bakery, just down Queen St turn right into High Street about 50 yards along. Stopped on the way out and bought pies and baps etc. Thoroughly recommended. Just had a lovely 5 night stay at this immaculate caravan site. Well looked after and maintained pitches. A choice of fully serviced or electric, hardstanding and grass pitches. The toilets and showers are spotless. There is access to the park from the site which was perfect for walking our two spaniels. We will definitely be visiting again.
