As a foreigner, this is a good place to try out how German sauna works. 1. Pay for your fees and get a chip. 2. Go to lockers and get a locker. There are a lot of lockers so open the other rooms and look for an available locker. 3. Shower, and wear your gown/towel to the nude area. Most locals do wear slippers as well. 4. Enjoy your aufguss! There are a variety of indoor and outdoor saunas, which adds a variety of experiences. Having a variety of aufguss was nice as well. Food inside the sauna was quite reasonably priced as well. I like it a lot! The problem is that they accept more people that they can absorb! When is crowded! Expect for no closets! Figh in the family changin area! Having to change clothes where is possible! It is a mess! Niceely organized, but as in every other in the city, the water is damn cold! Come on, people, charge a few more EUR for the ticket, but at least worm up the water. Disgrace! On weekends, also, like every other place in Munich, over over overcrowded! So, in short, if you want to enjoy, find some place else. If you have to go, prepare to be disappointed! Nice place to have fun with the kids. It has 2 cool slides for bigger kids and adults. It also has a big baby area with warm water temperature and a small slide. It also has a to do jumps and one with swimming lanes. Overall it is pretty clean. One can use a locker with the same chip they give you to enter and one can take a warm shower and dry your hair included in the price. I haven't tried the sauna and spa part, but it looks promising. The price seems ok for the included things. I definitely recommend it, also during winter time. I come here several times per month. Great indoor/outdoor with slides for kids, the water is warm, great all year round. Excellent secret sauna for adults, perfect for a midweek mini holiday. Phönixbad in Ottobrunn is a fantastic place for relaxation, swimming, and family fun. The facilities are modern and very well maintained, with plenty of options – from the sports and fun slides to the spa, saunas, and wellness areas. It’s clean, safe, and offers something for all ages, whether you’re looking to exercise or simply unwind. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the whole atmosphere is welcoming. A great spot to spend a few hours or even a whole day – highly recommend! Very nice place to go relax, both for a swim or for a spa. Also very kids friendly. Just a bit too expensive. As a Therme is fantastic and clean but the service in the restaurant down the garden is tragic. Is nice to have a very relaxing and beautiful day in the different saunas and pools. Clean and calming with plenty of spaces to relax. The restaurant in the garden brings one back to a tense, unpleasant and even dirty atmosphere. Service is as rude and random as paying 35 euros for the entrance to the therme seems offensive. Advice: bring a good picnic! Some drinks and lay as far is possible from the garden restaurant because the music is horrible and loud. There are plenty of spaces where you can eat what you bring. Crowded as always, but overall, it is a great place for kids. The water is also not very cold, making it comfortable in cold weathers. The dining place allows food from external. I've been learning to swim for the past eight months and have gradually become more comfortable with good techniques. During a recent visit, I brought my training fins to practice, as I’ve done at other pools like Olympia, Cosimabad, and Michaeli Bad without any issues. However, one of the lifeguards at this facility approached me quite abruptly and told me that fins were not allowed. I was surprised, especially since other pools permit them, and due to my limited German, I wasn’t able to explain or clarify further. Later, the same lifeguard told me that my daughter couldn’t use the slide because the minimum age is seven. While I understand the rules, I tried to explain that she is a confident swimmer, turns seven in two months, has earned her Seahorse badge, and was under the supervision of her older brother who holds a Gold badge and trains 10 hours a week. Unfortunately, he refused to make any exceptions or even consider the situation. The experience was quite disappointing, particularly given the high price of admission. The unfriendly and rigid approach from the lifeguard left a very negative impression. Sadly, we won’t be returning. It was really fun as there was a and sauna. There was also a jacuzzi and cold baths. There was also this very fun diving one of the jumps was 1 meter then 3 meters and finally a 5 meter jump. They were very safe a it was also very calming. Fully recommend. In the Sauna area, there is a very two bright lights in STEAM BATH which is very weird from inside. Previously, it was not there and now it becomes very strange if you are sitting inside with others.
