Summer is over (1st, November) and the restaurant will open next June. Bar right on the beach ( about as close as it gets) good atmosphere but we had to ask for a food , it was surprising there was no on the we were told the only available was pod and only espresso. They have a small bar in Lombada which is much better, I don't think we would go back. We could imagine it would have a good vibe at sunset. Best bar/restaurant quality/price on west point of Madeira Island Nice Place - but the Service is catastrophic. For each round of drinks we waited min 30 min! The waitresses were totally unorganised and seem overwhelmed. Food was 70% of the not available anymore at 6pm. (No bolo de caco, no lapas, no fish, no polvo). I remembered the place much more better last year. Too bad as the place is soo beautiful. We went to another place after the drinks - still thirsty and hungry 🥹 I chose this place because of the positive reviews, but the experience was disappointing. The staff didn’t care that I was sitting and waiting for the menu, which became tiring. The waitresses walked past without noticing me, and nobody greeted me. I ordered lapas and garlic bread. The bread was good, but the lapas was rubbery and had almost no garlic; on top of that, they didn’t bring any cutlery. I had to wait again and try to get the staff’s attention. I won’t be coming back. This is a nice spot to take a break at the end of the day and watch the sunset — it’s located right in front of the sea, and the local fresh beer (Coral) is great. I didn’t order much food, but the place offers a few snacks to go along with your drinks. The food tasted good, although the quality wasn’t the best. As for the service, a few of the waiters were definitely underage and appeared impatient and confused when taking the order. Despite repeating our order three times, it still came out incorret. Unexpected but very nice, good food and warm welcome from the staff. When we went not much left on the We walked in, sat down, and the waitress literally threw the on the table – no smile, no greeting, nothing at all. Then she disappeared for nearly half an hour. When she finally came back, we simply asked for a and a juice after a long and exhausting trip. Instead of welcoming us, she coldly said that can only be ordered after food. Excuse me? That is ridiculous. In my country, people enjoy before meals – I’m not Italian waiting until dessert to finally get an espresso. Her attitude was rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. We immediately stood up and left. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. The place itself is actually beautiful, right by the sea, and it could easily be a favorite spot. But with this kind of shameful service, it’s destined to lose customers one after another. Management should seriously reconsider who they hire, because staff like this ruin the entire experience. A café is not just about location and view – it’s about how you treat your guests. And here, guests are treated as a burden, not as valued customers. We will never return, and I strongly recommend others to think twice before wasting their time and money here. Such a disappointment and a total embarrassment for a place with so much potential.
