Lots of different activities for the kids to do. Hens and other interesting birds are caged for your enjoyment, and there's a few ducks and geese to chat too if you're that way inclined. If you like a sandy playground, you're in luck! There's a sandy playground. There's a little bit of history and a relaxing wander, so it's a charming day out. We've been here a few times now and have never had a bad time. It's changed recently and the food has moved to the main entrance area, when they now do tea and baked goods. The old cafe space is run by a different company (why?) and was deserted when we popped our heads in. So that's not going to work. Also there's a tiny cinema and excellent silversmith nearby, so that's another feather in its cap. Go heritage! Very interesting for the children lots to see. Parking is ok if a little for someone with a larger vehicle. Overall a nice experience. Great for kids, an interesting place, and buildings. Great place for lunch or for other extras. You can try Welsh traditional stew. Yummy. Car park and toilets on the spot. The enter is paid, £8 for adults, £5 for the children. Family £20. You can spend a few hours walking around. Bigger than you would expect when you arrive. Lots of different items to see including animals for the children. Nice place to visit whatever the weather brings. We watched Under Milk Wood in the smallest Cinema. It was Fab! In the evening there was a couple of bands plus homemade Curry which was lovely. Deffo worth a visit. We found this place because we were looking for a fast Electric Vehicle/ EV charger but while charging we discovered it was a treasure trove. We learnt all about the activities they had on site, bought some local produce from the shop and had a good lunch. There is a bakery near the car park as well as baked goods inside (savories like pasties as well as brownies etc) as well as hot food available. They had a gluten and dairy free flapjack which was great and they were able to cook a gluten and dairy free meal of chicken bites and sweet chilli dip. They had dairy free milk available for hot drinks. Great place to visit and experience how flour was milled. Also other great exhibits, including an Anderson bomb shelter used in WW2. Good cafe too with a wide choice of snacks and drinks. Spent the day in an around the heritage centre during weather in April. You can park your car here and walk down to Three Cliffs Beach which is a couple of miles there and back. The centre itself provides hours of fun and knowledge about old industry in the Gower, plenty to do for all age groups. We were able to take the dog round too which was helpful not leaving him in the car or with one of us standing outside. Food and drink at the cafe was excellent, as was the cakes in the bakery outside. We were also able to charge the EV here as they have two rapid chargers from instavolt. So good we came back again before heading home! Wonderful place to spend a few hours, very dog friendly and lots to do for children, with a fabulous play area with ride on tractors. Lots of information about the local area from way back. Huge water wheel, very impressive and various made up shops to show how things used to be many years ago, old money examples etc. cafe and picnic areas. Amazing place to park overnight in your vehicle/campervan for £20 Toilets open all night and shower tokens £1. little shop making fresh coffee and treats. Bakery sold amazing croissants too. Had a long walk to 3 cliffs Bay and Pennarth Castle ruins. We will definitely come back! little place. Stream running by. Lots of walks for dogs. Excellent place to go with or without kids. Lots to see and do, and staff were very helpful and chatty without being intrusive. We had a fantastic day at the Gower heritage Centre. Not only is the place very nice and perfect for a sunny day outside with the family, but it also has plenty of very interesting information, activities for kids and a great café. Definitely one not to miss if you are in the area! A great spot to stay overnight near beautiful walks and beaches. A very peaceful night, listening to the owls. Entered a rubber duck race down the leat, yes I am 40, but you are never too old for a duck race! Finished with a homemade cider and a walk to Three cliffs bay. The price of all day parking is included in the entry fee. What's not to love!!!! Visited Gower Heritage centre whilst holidaying in South Wales. There’s lots to see here and I’d love to come back. I visited with my elderly mum. She wasn’t feeling too well and the delightful staff couldn’t have been any kinder. We were especially helped by Linda who had already given us lots of useful information. Food was too and os love to come back and do the tour sometime.
