De gastvrouw gaf duidelijke uitleg en goed advies over de gerechten en de wijn. Het restaurant ademt een klassieke sfeer met een eigentijdse knipoog. Als afsluiter genoten we van Lavazza-koffie met iets zoets erbij — een perfecte afsluiting van een heerlijke maaltijd. Een klasse-adres, absoluut de moeite waard! The menu is very extensive with both a great selection in meat and fish dishes. The service is very attentive and is right on time with asking for refills. All with all, when you are in the Lauwersmeer area you should definitely pay restaurant de Pater a visit!! We had dinner at the restaurant. We had to wait quite a bit but the main courses were delicious. The starter though (baked rolls with different toppings) was rather average. The restaurant is quite pricey but the price of the bottled water that stands on the tables came as a surprise when paying the bill: almost 9 € for 1 liter. Perfect Super.
