I came to Windsurf City Larnaca solo by myself in hope to learn how to windsurf and wingfoil in 1 week, which was a tall order to give myself. My previous watersport experience is e-foiling and kiteboarding. I booked one on one private lessons with Jorg and Margarita (the owners) to have a fast track learning experience in both windsurfing and wingfoiling. They were both patient instructors, the lessons were clear, precise, detailed, well explained and the course was structured around my skill level / progression. The private lessons really helped me get to an independent riding level in both sports in a very short time and I appreciate the effort Windsurf City took to get me there. All the equipment is industry leading windsurf & wingfoil brands and in very condition. They have A LOT of equipment 🔥 The centre itself is in a fantastic location right in the heart of McKenzie beach and close to all the restaurants and bars to get a bite to eat or drink. You can chill out on windsurf cities sunbeds / deck chairs in their beach hut area in between watersport sessions which is very sociable with their work crew and other watersports tourists. Very easy launch with a predominantly sideshore wind and lovely warm clear with buoy marking which helps you to know where you are and stay upwind. The kit was in condition with a range of boards and sails. for wing foilers too as the gets deep enough for the foil quite quickly. Very gang at this centre,(Jorg, Margarita and Eddie)who made us feel really welcome . centre for beginners as well as experienced sailors. There were kids there having a time learning. safety measures eg they like you to wear an impact vest ( I think I'll get my own now) , and they take care of all the kit by washing it all down after each use. We stayed locally in Larnaca in a nice little hotel ( travelled independently as there are no packages from the UK to this exact area) . We'd love to go back !!! You can get a coffee and chill out at the centre all day with friends and family, get advice and tips chatting to the team and other sailors and just love spending time there - and when you want to sail, just pick a board and a rig and go. The club is perfectly located right on the at Mackenzie Beach, which means minimal effort carrying gear, just grab your rig and go. The center is run by Jorge and Margarita, who are both incredibly and highly professional. Their welcoming attitude and expert guidance made a real difference for everyone in our group, from beginners to more experienced riders. Wind conditions were excellent: gentle breezes in the morning perfect for the beginners in our group—and stronger winds in the afternoon. We spent a week in Windsurf City Cyprus surfing in all kinds of weather and on all kinds of equipment! It's a center with a wide selection of gear for windsurfing and wing-foiling, but also for e-foiling or just a walk on the with SUP. We ended up using all of it! His always keeps a sharp eye on everybody on the water, offers advice and this makes one feel very safe. It is very convenient for us to take a trip to Cyprus and the plane lands almost in the surf center, which has a location. It was a nice short walk on the beach from our accommodation.
