Have started the nature from the aqueduct and finished by the memorial. The it has taken me around one hour and it was nice to see lots of flora and fauna and hear the birds singing on the trees. There's a view point too which is good if the flamingos were there but there are always other birds that stop there to see and enjoy. There are benches to sit along the way if you do get tired. As it was early Spring it had a lot of greenery and nice views from across the lake. If you do this it will he good to do it early in the morning or late afternoon in the Summer as it be will be too hot and in Winter it does gets too muddy at places. I wouldn’t say it’s a stunning path. Perhaps it would be if you would see flamingoes. It’s nice for a jog early the morning. For some reason water had very bad stench, so, it was better not to get close. Salt is such a beautiful and peaceful place. If you have some free time, make sure to take a here. We walked from Phinikoudes beach, which is about 2.5 km. The is basically near the Larnaca airport. Nice and if you still stop for a snack at SUNSET SNACK COFE on the way, like we did, you'll make your even more enjoyable. The is very large and beautiful. You will see the beautiful flamingos that live there. They are usually there in the winter months. But the experience was amazing. When you along the lake, be careful, sometimes you get a little bit stuck in the sand. That's why we stayed a little bit away from the shore. And when we walked to the shore, we stepped carefully. But it was certainly worth it. Plus, it was interesting to examine the salt crystals. The advantage is that not many people go there, so you have the whole to yourself. Hot. It was hot. Unbelievably hot. Why did we take this path in late June? It was like someone combined the heat of Texas, and inland California and then moved the sun a little closer. This was our fault. The itself was well laid out. Providing a nice view of the dry bed(that will have water in other months.) still you can relieve your mad max fantasies with a heat that comes out of the devils ass in summer. Here's the corrected version: My favorite trail! I've been visiting here for the last 10 years. The sunsets are outstanding, and the views of the salt are breathtaking. However, I would avoid it for daily running in the early summer because of the unpleasant smell from the stagnant water. Aside from that, I am in love with this place! You can walk, sit, or run with yourself or with your loved ones! I truly believe the municipality could make further improvements, such as fixing broken chairs, adding more seats. Just beautiful experience! Specially at sunset. Like you are in desert. I completed a circuit of the entire lake. It was mid January and the weather was cloudy and windy. A bit chilly for some, but I was doing a walk/jog so was able to stay warm in a t-shirt. Took me about 2 hours. I had a pleasant time despite probably taking this tour on one of the worst days of the year. Things to lookout for: flamingos, lush vegetation, the old aqueduct, an overlook, the mosque. Come sunset time, it's beautiful. Free parking! 5 min drive from Larnaca Airport In October there is almost no water and you can on the salt. Nice place to see, especially Sunset is nice. Worth the hike, we walked on part of the trail and was a good walk, very serene, clean and quiet. Great view of sunset or sunrise at the salt lake. Don’t go too late as the trail can get quite dark and no need to take unnecessary safety risks. was drying but still quite a bit to see. Very pretty.
