The "Coronini" plateau offers a wonderful view over "Baile Herculane" resort! There is a lot of talk about these places, I can give advice from my experience. In April and May, beware of vipers, the species is known as the viper "Banat". During this period the mating takes place and there is an increased activity, on the other hand they take advantage of the spring sun after hibernating in winter. Super misto na prespani Nice view and quiet (especially in the spring and summer). We have been now on the late autumn and was a bit cold outside, especially to camp up there. One of the most beautiful places in nature Its a good place for travelers with cars and campervans to rest overnight. I guess also would be good for a traveller with a tent to rest there. No official camping allowed though. Resting I guess its allowed. Its at the beginning of Natural Park. With safety precautions and responsible behavior its a good place. A beautiful place to rest and admire mother nature. A lot of space, it's quiet, the best for relaxation. Quiet and surrounded by mountains and nature. What more can you wish for? You can also drive here, there's a road, you don't need to hike to get here. The only con: when we got there, there was a lot of garbage gathered around the bins, you could see it wasn't collected for some days one of the best places to set your tent in Herculane. it's free and you can generally leave it there throughout the day while hiking without a care. it's an easy 12' hike from the road to the plateau and there are a couple of trails that you can take from there: I personally recommend taking the tour of the colored pavilions, reaching the Peach meadow (great view for sunset over mountain ranges) and returning. it should take about 5 hours in all and the exercise is quite vigorous while not hard. Great view and the fact that it's remote is amaizing. Amazing view with fresh air! Accesible road by bike. Very nice trail but you need to be equipped with gear to go furthermore.
