I can hands down say this is the best I have ever done. Vanya was an absolutely gem of a never broken character even after the was over I love her commitment and for the whole experience. The whole was genuinely the best one I have ever done we can’t wait to book and do another one again. Definitely made my birthday very special! Brought my wife to Hounds for her birthday, she is an and cocktail aficionado so seemed like a perfect place for a birthday treat. We both had an amazing time, really enjoyed the (Southern Dis-comfort, Questionable Ethics) & the cocktails in the speakeasy bar afterwards. Highly recommended! We were really looking forward to our experience, but unfortunately, we never got the chance to enjoy it. Two of us arrived on and informed the that our third teammate was just parking and would be arriving shortly. At no point were we told that if she wasn’t physically inside by 18:25, she wouldn’t be allowed to join. Had we known, we could have told her to run—she arrived at 18:26. What’s most frustrating is the complete lack of flexibility. Rather than reducing the spent in the or offering any kind of workaround, the policy is simply: if you're not there to see the safety video, you're out. No grace period, no warning, no understanding. It’s fine to say it’s a legal requirement, but we’ve been in plenty of where the safety briefing is given verbally so it’s a little hard to swallow. This is especially disheartening, we’re mums who finally managed to organise a night out, but even the best-laid plans can be thrown off by life’s curveballs. We made every effort to be there and communicate, but were met with rigid rules and no empathy. Only shock that the two of us who were already inside would rather leave than leave our friend waiting outside for an hour. We left disappointed and without the we were so excited for. A little communication and compassion would have gone a long way. *****Edit***** Since I can't reply to the reply to my post I'm editing the review to add a further comment. You at correct that there were no arrivals at 18:26, this is because the code deactivated at 18:25 so she was unable to open the door. I've added a screenshot of our WhatsApp chat clearly showing a message from our friend at 18:28 saying she couldn't get in. This is after she had already attempted to enter the code several times and tried ringing the doorbell for access. Had she been allowed in at this point she could have easily caught the final part of the briefing video and been easily caught up by the without disruption to our or the next party. Instead at 18:28 we were informed that the was shut and she couldn't come in. At 18:32 she messages saying "they are not going to let me in", which means we were still standing on the landing pleading to just let us run downstairs and open the door. Had they allowed us straight after the video to just open the she could have seen the whole video in the we begged for entry. I assume the recorded entry you speak of would have been the point at which we opened the to leave. Which was still well before anyone else actually arrived. I did open the email 3 times to check specific details, I even read the information about being punctual and shared it with the rest of the team. I am also a busy mum who works full-time. I open a million emails everyday and try to stay on top of 4 people's schedules. So in the moment when, at 18:20, we told the that our friend was just parking and would be there shortly, i didn't remember that the was going to lock at 18:25. Given your extreme strict policy, i can't for the life of me understand why you wouldn't just remind us at that point - the point when she still had a 5 minute window to arrive before the briefing video. 🤷♀️ Done a few in Florida and this beats them all. It was fun for all the family as the we did was interactive fun and challenging but not too hard. The live actors were and I highly recommend going. We will be back Hounds is so good. I didn't know what to expect, but is the perfect tagline for this company. From the minute you walk in, you leave reality behind and are taken into a different world. The Game Masters (we played all four games and had a different Master for each) stay in character throughout. The environment, production values and puzzles are really impressive and thoroughly enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend to all whether interested in trying out a game or a seasoned player. I look forward to more Hounds experiences in the near future. We had an absolute blast going through "Southern Discomfort"! The actor Cletus was brilliant: funny, kind and helpful (not too much help, not too little, but just perfect). The puzzles were varied and just the right level of challenge, across multiple small rooms. The setting was really cool, very immersive! No pressure, just pure fun. Would go back again! We did our first here at Hounds! Definitely lives up to its reputation, (don't be late...I tested the out of curiosity as we arrived early they are very on point! be on time) The explorers diary was full of lovely little twists and turns in the game- no spoiler but we definitely had a blast and wanted to drop a special shout-out to our GM Diana! (Cough* Jessie) Thanks for keeping us company, hope we wasn't too loud, we hope you live a fruitful life with all that gold :) We will be back to play the others! But definitely the place is really nicely done up and you feel immensed by the place and team straight away! Have a one Just completed the Explorers Diary! Our host/guide Lady Brenda was amazing and so committed to her role, really made the experience. The was really fun and it was a good difficulty level. We'll be back to do to the other 😊 What an incredible experience! David, Izzy and Quinn were outstanding and ran the Acid Bath for us, the nature combined with the challenging puzzles made it such a memorable and unique level of entertainment. We will be recommending this to everyone we know! Thank you team Explorer's Diary was excellent. One of the best we have ever done - and we've done a fair few in the UK and abroad! Can't recommend it enough. A balance of puzzles, immersion and live actor input (enough but not too much, if you're put off by that sort of thing!). Plus, the design was incredible. Go, go, go! ‘Southern discomfort’ was thoroughly enjoyed by our whole group, from ages 8 to 65! puzzles, set design, actor/host. I cannot think of any suggestions to improve! We look forward to trying the other games here. I've done a lot of around the world and Hounds came so highly recommended by so many people that I was very excited to play. I took my girlfriend as a treat for her birthday with a lot of her friends and it genuinely blew me away. The setting was fantastic, the puzzles were intuitive and well designed, and the special effects were so much fun. The icing on the cake though were the absolutely fantastic hosts who went above and beyond. Abe and his father were so funny, knew exactly when to give a gentle nudge in the right direction, and made it so personal (the birthday card was an especially nice touch). We are now absolutely stoked to go and try out the other games they have and highly recommend the whole experience. We did the Explorer’s Diary at Hounds and wow, absolutely amazing! I’ve done numerous rooms, and their theming is truly top tier. Every detail felt thoughtfully crafted and totally immersive. Our hosts, Lady Brenda and Sir Edwin, were hilarious and kept us laughing out loud from start to finish. The perfect mix of adventure, creativity, and fun. Highly recommend. WOW. If I could give a hundred stars, I would. I've done around 100 and this one has to rank in my top 4. I saw it was a top finalist on Terpeca, and made sure this made my itinerary on my UK trip. Their production is TOP NOTCH. And make no mistake - they are rooms, but the big difference is that the staff are in character (as are you) from the second you let yourself in off the street. Excellent room. We did Explorer's Diary, and the pacing was perfect, the clues were super thematic and well executed. You feel like Indiana Jones. Book this. You won't regret it! The Actors/GMs completely made our Hounds such a memorable one. We'd read and heard so many reviews, so we chose to stay nearby to visit for an evening 'performance' with another the next day. The Actors remained in character throughout, giving hints at the right moments to ensure we got the best from the rooms. We enjoyed Explorer's Diary and Southern Dis-Comfort and will be back to do the others ASAP. Atmosphere, decor, props all set the scene, very professionally done, a lot of attention to detail. These are perfect to introduce anyone to as well as being fun and challenging for the experienced. Loved the obvious priority given to ensure all visitors achieve the satisfaction of finishing the and just have a time. Cocktail Bar and ambience before and after games such a fantastic added extra. The cocktails were delicious and the front of house/bar staff so friendly. You're doing a job Hounds - no surprise you've won awards and have so many well-deserved excellent reviews. We had such a fantastic at Hounds this weekend, Monty (Ross) was absolutely brilliant and played his part with enthusiasm and humour. We did the Explorer’s Diary room, which was challenging enough without being frustratingly difficult. There were a number of involved which we gained access to as we progressed and the atmosphere matched the storyline really well. When we were done we relaxed in the bar for a while as our dinner reservation was a little later. We had some of the moonshine cocktails and enjoyed the relaxed environment. The lady on the bar was really lovely too. We will definitely being going back to do more of the Hounds rooms, thanks for a time! Such a brilliant experience! My husband and I had the best time, the staff were super friendly and the was just the right amount of challenge, not too hard that we couldn't enjoy it, but hard enough to keep us guessing. We did The Explorers Diary and it was such fun. Our game was Arnold and he was brilliant, really made it an experience. The bar staff were lovely too, all in all, a fantastic few hours! 🌟 We can't wait to go back and do the other rooms. Our family group split into 2 - half completed 'The Explorer's Diary' and half completed 'Southern Discomfort'. Both groups had a fantastic - the best we've done! The actors were brilliant. Really well done and thoroughly enjoyable for all (age range 11yrs - >60). We can't wait to book the next one! Thanks so much Hounds 😍 Baron Mallory Hogswaddle had us laughing from the minute we started our intrepid exploration of sir Benjamin Diggits site! This is the final we have done at hounds over a 2 year period and it’s really been one of the best experiences every time! Thank you! This is fun. My second visit and will be going again. From the minute you walk through the you're whisked to a place far from Crawley town centre. The are fun and and the well trained and funny. Give them a pay rise 😁 We did the southern discomfort and what can I say except amazing!! For my birthday a group of us decided to try something new, for my first it was truly incredible. The actor playing Lumbrin Jack did not disappoint and gave us all a really good laugh which is why I wanted to do this and that’s what we got. I even got a birthday card from the Hound team which I was not expecting and made the all the more wow as it was that little extra effort and detail that they didn’t need to do but was so appreciated. We did the Explorer’s Diary mission today and it was proper fun. Our was entertaining and set up the atmosphere for the whole (plus gave me a fright when he appeared out of nowhere at some point during the mission, which was a good laugh). We expected his presence to be more overwhelming, and we were a bit nervous before starting as it was our first time, but it was actually well balanced. Props and puzzles were very good and there wasn’t a lot of repetition. Overall we had a fantastic and are keen to try the other mission (or the live experience) (this is Ellie, by the way) We visited Hounds Experiences on Friday 5th December 2025 for our work Christmas social. We split into two teams of 7 players as the can accomodate roughly 8 players each. to take on their mission-style rooms. The whole was outstanding from start to finish and we had such a time. Each was varied length with our teams completing them in just under an hour each. The staff were brilliant. Their energy, acting and interaction with our players added so much fun to the experience, creating plenty of laughs, nicknames and memerable moments, whilst still keeping us fully engaged in the story and progressing through the rooms. They struck the perfect balance between guidance and letting us figure things out ourselves. We would highly reccomend interacting and going along with the actors to step outside of your comfort zone as it makes the even that bit better! The themselves were extremely well designed, with each space incredibly immersive, atmospheric and genuinely giving the feeling of being transported into another world. The puzzles were clever, varied and a good level of challenge, without ever feeling overwhelming. Every element felt well thought out, you can tell a huge amount of creativity and detail has gone into building these and we would love to see if there are any more to com in the future! The structure of the worked really well. Everything was clearly explained at the start, the storyline was easy to follow, and the missions flowed smoothly from one stage to the next. Having an that combine acting, strong narrative and polished puzzle design so effectively is brilliant. The pricing for the was very fair and value for the quality of the experience. We all felt we received excellent value, especially considering the level of production and the professionalism of the team running it. Overall, we had a fantastic and every member of our group came away buzzing, and talking about it all evening. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a fun, and memorable team activity to visit Hounds! We’ll definitely be returning for more missions in the future. We loved it and had a time. I was pleasantly surprised that, you can find such thing in the middle of our town centre. Considering most shops are closing and there is nothing to do. This is amazing, and I wish there will be more fun stuff like this to do. It was ideal as it is so close and we only have a limited to be away from our child so can't travel too far. The was well put together and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much, we had a blast. We booked this last minute because the we were usually go to was booked up. We did the southern discomfort room. The was challenging but solvable. The absolute highlight was our actor guide - absolutely hilarious - whatever you pay him it’s not enough. We are definitely coming back.
