Only one yoga class a week on a Wed morning which isn't particularly useful to anyone working standard hours. It's never really too crowded but I go late so maybe it is at regular rush hour times. The best is the staff. Mario is so kind but so is everyone else. It's clean. But is more than 10 years old, Mal functional. Too much cardio not much weights. It needs an overhaul. If you’re looking for an affordable, well equipped, quiet gym in Newbury then this is the place! The gym I’ve attended at many different point throughout the fairly vast opening times and it’s safe to say it rarely gets busy. There has always been plenty of and area to work out of even try new machines/equipment without feeling pressured to move on or avoid them! Eveyone seems very friendly, the reception always make an effort to acknowledge you and say hello. They also are very helpful with any questions! There is access to the Pool, Sauna and Gym which does also include free parking for up 2.5hours so an added benefit to any local! Vending machines are onsite with multiple branded drinks that range between £1.40-£2.00 which is very reasonable. Overall I cannot fault the whole experience/gym! I would highly recommend it to anyone! After a good old search for gyms in the area I've found this gym is most suited for all needs with different age ranges even offering children's swimming. Good and enough of it! Cleanliness is always up to a high standard in changing rooms and wash area.Clean fresh pool that is regularly checked, fully stocked the on cleaning products and a great environment. friendly and always a great place to enjoy fitness I've been to a few gyms and Better is the best I've ever been to. It has a pool and all the you would need. It's very welcoming with experienced who go above and beyond to help. They have 'senior' classes and accommodate all the various problems that come with age. Sarah and Vic who take the classes are amazing and it's not just older people who come to their classes regularly! I've been having swimming lessons with Georgia who has lots of patience and I'm almost there! I can highly recommend her. The centre is very clean and the poolside and pool itself are kept to a very good standard in comparison to other health clubs located within the Newbury area. The are very helpful and friendly. Recently misplaced my engagement ring at the gym and a lovely member called Georgie helped me find it. Great staff, great location, sadly let down by poor antiquated gym and tired facilities.
