You can go on 3 types of caving your depending on your fitness. The basic tour is 15€ and lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. A different way to a cave. Don't expect nice formations or light inside of the cave. You will wear a helmet with your own light and you will have to crawl and climb. Very recommendable for children. Negative point: you are not allowed to take your own pictures: the guides take them for you and try to sell them at the exit... Our Haika was funny and informative. We loved our to the caves but would only recommend the basic route to those able to climb rocks and crawl on hands and knees. Would recommend wearing a mask for all the dust in the caves. The good spoke fluent English which was good for my son. But as we had both Spanish and English people it was good to improve my Spanish by listening to the Spanish as well. Will come again and maybe do the Ruta Combinada. It was an amazing experience. Closest to potholing without risks. There are no lights inside, just your helmet torch. You will most probably get wet crawling through a small stream. There are no concrete steps or handrails. It is NOT Cheddar or Wookey Caves and doesn't have stalactite/stalagmites formations with clever lighting. It is an untouched un comercialised cave. You need to be reasonably agile. Wear old clothes and sturdy trainers. Overalls and trainers are available for hire. Four of us did the basic tour. No necessary and suitable for all ages. You do need to be quite mobile for the bending under low rock and navigating some rise & fall. Our guide, Heike, was very nice and we all enjoyed it. Helmets were allocated on arrival. There is a restaurant on site (we didn't eat there) and there was a souvenir shop. A different which only takes a couple of hours. We reserved a tour slot online as different languages are offered. Not a typical visit.. scramble through small tunnels, only head torch lights, a bit dirty but feeling very safe. Highly recommended. Great with an excellent English speaking guide. Learned much about the local geology. Be aware that you have to crawl and climb inside the ( in tight spaces) so the tour is not recommended for people with physical issues or claustrophobia. Las Cuevas de Sorbas—WOW! There are several levels; we visited the medium-hard one, and I had an amazing experience. The intricate formations and the sense of adventure as you navigate through REALLY narrow passages—wriggling on your belly, sliding on your back, or hiking with wet walls—are unforgettable. This natural space hasn’t been outfitted with lights or ropes; it’s a real adventure, so it’s important to be fit and healthy and not suffer from claustrophobia, as the exploration requires some serious physical agility (Not suitable for all audiences) A must for nature lovers and adventure seekers!
