There are 4 relaxation chairs, in a quiet area which are very comfy and 2 chairs which we tried out. My treatment with Hannah was great. Mini facial, back (pressure was spot on) and back scrub, which was ace. We tried out the tub, sauna and steam room too. We arrived at 10am, so cannot really say what it would be like when it’s a busy period with lots of clients. However, we were able to try everything out during our there and felt very relaxed. I really enjoyed the back scrub followed by a back and facial. It was my first ever back and Emma was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed all of the treatments and completely relaxed. The scones for the cream tea were fresh, warm and yummy. Such a afternoon for us all, we felt utterly afterwards, just what we needed. Unfortunately at the end of our session there was a problem with the hot water, Michelle the owner was very prompt to sort it out. We would definitely return for more. Only recommendation would be to cut down a little on the chorine in the as it really stung two of my friends eyes. Michelle did an incredible job at making us feel welcome and in the spa, which was a great facility. The was out of order when we visited, and Michelle dealt with this very promptly and professionally, issuing us with a voucher to visit again once it was repaired which we will certainly make use of. Unfortunately the sauna was out of action due to a fault, but we were made aware in advance and the other facilities made up for that. Have not written a review until now because I’m still waiting for a response to my last email. For the whole the was cold the sauna wasn’t working and the felt rushed. It wasn’t until lunch they realised the boiler was off. The only thing working was the steam room. As you can imagine we were cold so we left early and there was no relaxing experience. There was no one to speak to when we left so I emailed. They did offer for myself and my cousin to come back but we just didn’t want to. It was just not my idea of an “spa”. I appreciate that the outside is probably not their remit but it was derelict and the hotel was empty and strange. The spa and rooms seemed dated. Not my idea of a spa location. I asked for a 50% refund which I felt was fair to which I’ve had no response. I am only speaking from and hoping that they’ve now worked out how to keep the boiler going/ given some of the rooms a paint job. Took a book to fill gaps! However there were no gaps to fill which was so therefore this meant that I could enjoy my book after treatment with a delightful cream tea.
