Nice place for a with your family and dogs. One side is the other side is fenced. So it is kind of safe to let your dog off leash even if their recall not the greatest. Amazing by the river. for dog walkers and family walks. Nice gravel road, kids used bikes. Plenty space in free car park. As well as dog wash. Several picnic benches and rubbish bins throughout. Spectacular views. What a fabulous place for a riverside walk. Perfect for dog walkers, gravel pathways made for year round use. Circular walk. Cleverly named Sangrila bar. There is even a Pay as you Go dog circuit, the gate opens when you tap with your contactless! Dog had a fab time! We went early and was still quite busy. We found the paddling water my dog was obsessed. Parking is quite good do recommend getting here early. We left after 11am and it was getting quite full. Beautiful place for a walk. The dog wash was a real bonus Nice little outdoor to along the Stour. There is a play for the kids and a place to wash your dog. Nice Sang. Parking can be problem, but that is down to people not caring for anyone but themselves. No toilets on site! One large free dog enclosure. 3 x paid enclosures. 2 x beaches. Lots of space. Can be shut in the winter, due to flooding. This is a place to visit, VERY dog friendly, and is completely free to around with free parking. The goes in a loop which you can make a short or as long a loop as you like. There is a with two access points for so they can have a paddle or swim and play in, and is to cool them off in the summer months. There is also quite a big fenced off area, which is for in training, or reactive to get some off lead time, and is free to use. And there is also a dog agility at the car (there is a charge for that part). At the other end, so half way point is a van that do ice-cream for and humans, drinks, and some snacks. There is also another agility fenced off area, and another fenced off at the half way point both of those there is a charge for. There's a stone path going the whole loop, and other quieter paths off the track. It's extremely dog friendly which we absolutely love. There's benches and seats dotted around everywhere, and lots of doggie bins. There is also a small child's play now at the half way point. Free parking, well signed posted before entering the park. Couple of areas for to swim. Nice to Really annoyed with myself we didn’t find this place during lockdown! Our first time there today and we were blown away. Extremely dog friendly, useful maps, clearly marked routes, fencing (useful to know for dogs), lots of different places to explore (woodland areas, tracks, fields, ponds, grassland, river) and some off lead areas and agility equipment in enclosed areas. Dog wash was extremely useful after we found some fox poo… we then went to the Fox and Hound Pub in little Canford for lunch. Do be prepared to wild wee or wait it out … especially if you travelled a while to get here and bought a in the SANG :) Wish we had known about this place sooner. We have a rehomed a young cocker spaniel whose recall is good 95% of the time so this has made us nervous to have him off lead which is such a shame although we continue to practice. We've had him off lead multiple times at the SANG now and I think because there is so much space and lots to keep our boy occupied we've had no recall issues. There are also enclosed areas we know we can use should he start to revert back to his old ways but it's a beautiful along the which our pup loves to cool off in. You can make the as big or as small as you want with lots of different path options. to have a picnic spot and little shack half way too ! We even saw some brave people having a paddle in the cold on a very warm afternoon which was delightful. This is now our new favourite dog walking spot! A lovely place to your dog around. You normally have plenty of room between walkers to let the dog off as long as you have control and good recall. There is a cafe van that is halfway around for you to get a cuppa and a biscuit as well as something for the doggo. There is also a closed for that don't get on with others and a few benches to sit and have some sandwiches too. Love love love. I go here most days. Lots of dogs, for socialising. Multiple paths that go in a loop. Used to be a van half way round but now gone. over an hour. People are very friendly here. Can flood when it’s been raining. Free car park. Wooden play park. Benches. Exercise equipment. There is two parts of shallow water with steps which are allowed. Be wary of the and other parts of water as well as swans. Watch your near water. No toilets. This is an amazing place for everyone, since Sangrila has opened the whole atmosphere its wonderful. Meeting new friends, having time for yourself, families and even our furry friends, where they can socialize with other furry friends. The coffeehouse sells a wide range of hot and cold coffee, canned drinks, ice creams for everyone including our furry friends! On weekends there is freshly baked cakes, which are an amazing, crisps and some sweet treats. Chris and Becky make you feel so at home, with their over and above ideas and welcoming faces, and there is also a cheeky side which puts a smile on your face and at times a laugh.
