Great perhaps superb over Chesil beach from the Olympic viewpoint on Portland. Great to spend half, perhaps a hour watching the world go by absorbing some of the best that nature has to offer. Breathe the fresh air and feel alive! Welcome to this beautiful world! Superb Absolutely amazing over the ocean. Rather windy do hold on to your kids! Outstanding view. Stunning viewa A great legacy reminder of the role the area played for the Olympics in 2012. Starting to look a little tired which is a shame, would be nice to see the sculpture renovated. Incredible from the area too! Worth a visit as it’s very photogenic Drove round whilst visiting Weymouth. Amazing over Chesil beach and harbour It's an excellent point over Chesil beach and Weymouth. Since I was last here there has been an awful fence put up around it. You can still climb over it. It's a free monument with parking on site Everytime we visit Dorset on holiday we have a tradition to visit Portland and take pictures of the outstanding of Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast. Free parking and toilets nearby. Definitely a place to visit, sit, relax and take in the view. The of Chesil Beach and the harbour from the top of the hill is amazing. Worth the climb. Just soak everything in! Spent a lovely April day recently on Portland and first stopped to see the off the top looking out over Chesil Beach..on to Portland Bill after Amazing from here, parked up, had an Ice Cream and took in the scenery. Probably one of the best of Chesil beach and of course the iconic location of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing events. Easy parking 100 metres from the Olympic rings. The is fantastic across Chesil Beach. Nice cafe over the road.
