Parkdean Resorts Warmwell Holiday Park, Dorset

The resort is quiet and remote and has some great wildlife, lakes and nature trails to enjoy. The site is quiet large, but the numbering of the lodges, cabins is a little all over the place and can take a while to get use to. The on site food is okay, but can be a bit hit and miss, can be a little expensive. The we stayed in was large and roomy and did have a hot tub. It was pretty basic inside, and did show signs of ware and tear in the kitchen and bathroom. The site has a good play area, soft play and swimming pool that my little nephew enjoyed. Perfect place for the multi generate holiday. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Warmwell. We stayed in a two bed Dorchester (Lodge 121) and it was a little bit of quiet luxury. The was tucked away and not overlooked in probably the quietest part of the park, albeit a long way from the entertainments, shop, activities and swimming pool but that was perfect for us. The was clean, well maintained and equipped. The decking was a huge bonus and we spent a lot of time reading and listening to the ski run behind us. The was lacking a dust pan and brush, and on request a frying pan turned up which was close but not quite what we were looking for and despite several requests in 10 days we didn’t get one and gave up, but it certainly didn’t spoil anything but made us laugh. We loved our stay and so much to do for a 12 year old stuck with three grown ups! Super location that nestles itself within a wonderful green space. Great opportunity to get stuck in with lots of activities or to simply hit pause and relax. The staff were amazing, especially the entertainment crew who go out of their way to interact and ensure everyone has a great time. Don't think about booking, JUST DO IT! Booked a lake view, hot tub for a mon-fri getaway. We are leaving tomorrow. Accommodation was lovely, and so was the hot tub. Unfortunately the time away was ruined by the lack of WiFi to our lodge. Appreciate it’s a rural location but Parkdean should be investing by providing signal boosters throughout the park. You couldn’t even stream a programme on the smart TV - played for 10 seconds, buffered for 2 minutes and then played another 10 seconds and buffered for 2 mins. You get the idea. Couldn’t even use our mobile data as backup as the signal was non existent (even more reason for parkdean to invest in proper internet access!) The WiFi speed to the was measured at 0.05mbps which is absolutely disgusting when it’s a necessity in this day and age. When we complained on park all we were told is ‘Sorry’ and ‘We don’t advertise WiFi in lodges’. That may be the case, but it’s expected in 2025, and shouldn’t need to be advertised. To use WiFi you have to sit in the entertainment complex (where speeds were in excess of 250mbps) so there is no reason the lodges shouldn’t have a decent connection. We won’t return for this reason, and will advise others against booking if you need/want a decent connection which is a shame as the accommodation was lovely. This park is situated in a wooded area with 3 fishing lakes and is really peaceful and quiet. The that we used was absolutely beautiful and really clean and comfortable. There are many facilities on the site although the shop is on the expensive side. We have stayed in many Parkdean sites and this site is amongst the very best.
