Even though they had no current vacancies, they still treated me like a human being, not like a problem. That alone earns them my respect. It’s such a basic thing, and yet in this country, it has become rare. After many months of writing to Dutch businesses, I’ve learned to appreciate not only professionalism but also decency. ‘In Petto’ might not realise it, but a short reply like theirs can carry weight, especially for people who are living through exhausting circumstances and are often ignored. Surprisingly good, in a small town about 15 minutes from the highway you'll find this place, their menu is a bit different from the regular bistro, but in a very good way. The curry soup was excellent, the steak tartare also delicious as starters. And their mains are also spot-on. Close, very close, to five stars Best place in town for a meal in the restaurant, or a drink on the terrace with river view. Great staff and lovely local food. Delicious Fish with fresh veggies. Fair prices and friendly service. Fife stars as soon as they put baked potatoes on the menue😉 Excellent value for money. We've been coming here for 4 years now and have seen this place develop itself tremendously. Service is attentive and with a smile, Dylan is an excellent host. In the kitchen they take pride in sourcing local produce and prepare this with the utmost care. Food is absolutely delicious and authentic. Lately they built out their patio terrace and added an authentic pizza bar. Beverages are great, lovely wine pairings and their pub serves up a great craft beer to everyones liking. I highly recommend a visit in any season and for any occassion. Lovely bistro, very nice decor and good service. The satay was delicious, the burger could have been more generous, but tasted nice. I was cycling the LF Maasroute and staying in a 'Vrienden op de Fiets' B&B in Rossum. This place was recommended by my host. It is very close by where I was staying. I like the atmosphere. Good music. Good vibe. Friendly and helpful staff, and other customers. Good food and beer. An excellent choice of food on the menu, plus a good choice of beers. I can recommend this place. Beautiful location and dining room - on the river. Would give it 5 stars except for spotty service. Food was excellent. Wine and beer excellent. Charm abundant. First waiter great but he left and back up help was borderline rude. Nonetheless, a delightful evening. My Dutch family will go back.
