Update.....Nov 2025 This is under new management. We were there on their 1st night. The food is still good and fairly priced. The TV has gone and the interior is clean and upgraded. The new young couple running the place, Kiki and Filipe, are adorable and made sure we were happy and enjoying our meal. The house red wine is flavourful. I had bread and olives, mushrooms, steak with fries and salad, and a baked apple followed by coffee. The grilled mushrooms were €3, steak €20, which was small and a little chewy for the price, but overall tasty. My friend had a mixed pork grill which was large and better value at €12.50. Desserts €4 I believe. For 3 of us it came to €78. Sadly, there is still no to view to order from, so you are unaware of price until the bill arrives. Not great! But hopefully this will change when they are established we will definitely return. Old Review from 2023...Our booking was a last minute decision, as our original choice of place was closed, (Tuesday eve), so I rang and they were able to accommodate us. We had beef and swordfish steaks, and all were well cooked, nicely presented, plenty of food and very tasty. The house wine, white and red was good. My only criticism is that there was no actual to look at, it was proposed at the table by the waiter as to what was available.... Beef (sirloin) steak, rump steak, swordfish steak, squid kebab, lamb stew or baked red fish so we had no idea of price, and I like to know what I'm paying before the final bill arrives. The TV was on which I think is unnecessary and strange, but is the same in many eateries in Portugal, thankfully it wasn't too loud so we could chat and enjoy the company we were in. Other than that it was a great experience and we would return. Recommended 😊 A newly owned by a young couple full of passion and dedication. The answer from the bar: "We have a in Portuguese. I am Portuguese, we are in Portugal and the is in Portuguese." Why is that? I have lost my desire to eat at this restaurant. I do not recommend it.
