Stopped off the motorway, had the burger which wasn't that nice, a bit undercooked, and chuletillas, very small portion. Chips and morcilla were great, good service. I would probably recommend sitting at the bar and ordering small plates, less expensive. The lamb was excellent. Cooked in a stone oven, it was tender and flavorful. Good portions. But, the bakery items looked good and the people that were eating there looked pleased with their food. nice ambience. Extremely sweet staff, they are amazing. However, the food I would say is good, but a bit expensive. Before it used to be way cheaper and worth the price, but now the quality is the same but the price is way too high. The waiter spotted that our table was wobbly and fixed it immediately with a little wedge. Although the place was very busy the food came quickly. The quality of the traditional food is total! We stopped here for lunch on the way to Haro, we ordered the lamb leg for 2 it was so tender and juicy we were dipping our patatas bravas in the juice! The staff were very helpful we don’t speak Spanish and they spoke little English. There were lots of local families dining there very traditional restaurant- would recommend if driving through. Great roadside dinner between Madrid and Burgos. Excellent food, service, and price. We had 8-10 things from the bar menu. Everything tasted great, fast service, friendly people, great wine. I would highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.
