In early Jan 2020 my cousin organised a family reunion of some 60-70 people in this wonderful retreat situated just outside of Bhopal city amidst several farmhouses. It’s a lovely place with a classic architecture built around a huge courtyard and a bedroom for folks to retire for a siesta maybe. We enjoyed the retreat basking in the winter sun and watched the sun go down into the farms dotted with guava trees. My cousin had arranged his own cooks to do a massive BBQ. The pool is very safe for children, the height is very low. Overall 😊 We held our cousin’s engagement ceremony at Baghban Retreat, and while the decor and overall aesthetic of the venue were quite good, the actual experience was far from satisfactory. The staff was rude and uncooperative throughout the event. There were no proper arrangements despite prior discussions and confirmations. We had to manage many things ourselves that should have been handled by the venue. The biggest issue was with the drinking water. We had taken water coolers provided by them, assuming it would be clean and filtered — it wasn’t. The water was clearly contaminated. Many of our guests and family members — including me — ended up with diarrhea the next day. This is not just poor service, it's a serious health concern. In summary: Pros: Beautiful decor, nice ambiance Cons: Poor management, rude staff, unsafe drinking water If you're considering this venue, make your own arrangements for water and double-check everything yourself — do not rely on their staff. Would not recommend for important functions unless they seriously improve their service quality and hygiene. Nice expreince with bhagwan retreat team..... Well oganised...
