A premier Institute for scientific education and research, it is located in the Bhauri area in Bhopal on the outskirts of the city. Set up in 2008, the Institute has undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral in its rolls. It is set in a lush green campus, with curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities. Sports is promoted here in a big way. Amazing, it is one of the top institute of India. I am not a student of IISER, however I visited the and stayed there for 3-4 days. The experience was mesmerizing, the is full of trees, roads are well built neat and clean. We tried food at mess also it was good. Overall it is a place for students. is fully constructed and hostels too .I was a intern student there during 2017 for about two and a half months. In the climate is hell, the temperature may go to as high as 48-49 in peak time and the humidity is not a matter out there. You will be died out there under the scorching sun. Canteen food is hell for a south Indian but can be adjusted for short terms. Food is too costly in the restaurant and outside places of Bhopal. Since Bhopal is located at the bypass road, there will not be any local buses to bhopal. Institute offers bus services everyday to outside for residential's including faculties. Natural beauty of Bhopal is empty, we may feel like we are living in an artificial environment and for internship if you are staying at bhopal then stay in your lab else you will be fried under the sun. Hot winds blow over your face in the and you cannot negotiate this else you cover your face. Winter is cold as well but the natural beauty is not preserved in any of the seasons and the is entirely dry and Institute works department tries to grow some trees in and around the which in future may be helpful. Quite a beautiful and elegant campus, obviously filled with happiness and healthy vibes. Oke this was all for a short exposure, I think that's all I can tell for a short term experience review (3days) I might update this review later on. IISER Bhopal is a nice place only if we (summer interns) would have come in winter lol Summers are too hot, although lab, library, can be your saviour. We use mayuri to go from one place to another, tho I prefer going by walk, because in Mayuri you get a lot heatwave haha. There are so many mango plants here and some of them also have 'amiya' and idk for what reason it is pleasant to see. The fun part here is that in morning I go to morning walk here and there and try to explore different plants that I see here. They also have so many Almonds tree and I'm sure, yesterday I found out this by cracking one myself using a heavy stone. I haven't get the chance to interact with my supervisor, but B have said that he is a nice one. What else? I want to go on a hike but it's too hot man. Rooms are good, I'm sharing with my roommate, I think because she is nice I'm able to survive in my room haha. And they are many other facilities too, I'll update them after using them :) You will be amazed to see it's campus. There are no much photos available of Bhopal in public domain but the is worth watching. Hostel mess and play area are completely separate from acadmic area. Ambiance at night is what student want in their dream collage. Education : If I talk about education, labs are very good. I have spent time with some faculty members and students. Everything is perfact which you want for a institute. Central library is B is one of the best library in India. Most of the labs are well made with sufficient resource. (EECS is still in developing stage but robotics labs are one of the best in India like Moon and dude lab) Hostel : Hostels are pretty good, will managed and bath area is also good. Small rooms and hot weather can be a problem sometime. Activities : There are all the activities in the like basket ball, badminton, cricket, football, kabaddi, table tennis, squash, etc. Shopping center : also have shopping center where you will find everything for your daily need like provision store, clothing Store, medical store, health center, salon, beuty parlour, ATM, small restaurant, fruits store, etc Suggestion : bring cycle and umbrella with you if you are coming to b. It's very institute for learning with safe campus. There r seven such named (IISER) institution established by government of india at national level at various states and zone, like Pune, Bhopal, mohali, Berhampur, Kolkata,Trupti, Thiruvanthapuram under Ministry of Education. Established in 2008 to provide high quality Science Education to UG and PG Students. There r well developed labs for various sciences whichever r run by institutions like physics, biology, data science, environment & earth science etc...etc.... There subjects & syllabi and treatment to science is magnificently different than studying at local state/city science colleges. Programme from BS-MS reach to PhD at R & D level. Various IISERs website can be referred for Programme and courses run at particular institution. Amazing place for all researchers, prestigious institute for and development. Beautiful environment. Quite away from the actual Bhopal city situated in village kind of area so you will struggle little to find vehicle to reach here. From Bhopal Junction you need to book uber bike to reach there because auto rickshaw is quite expensive (atleast 400). One tip is to use public transport to reach there if you have time. Now talk about inside the campus. In main Gate there is tight security and after it you have 2min walk to reach beautiful guest house of bhopal, if you are coming here for interview purposes you will be stay there and your interview will be conducted on that building. There are queue of trees throughout the footpath so you will not face any difficulties to walk in time. Canteen is available there. Bathrooms are neet and clean. All professors are quite supportive and well behaved. Overall best for commers. Not a student friendly campus. The administration doesn't care about students.
