I highly this to anyone visiting the area! This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Giovanni, our host, was one of the most compassionate individuals I’ve ever come across. He truly cares about his business, the wine, the tour, and the of the customers from top to bottom. It says a lot when the people within the business consider even the finest of details. You can tell he considers every aspect of the experience. Truly so blown away by the experience. Loved walking along the property (so beautiful!) with Elena learning about the different Terre di San Vito is known for and the stories behind each of their cellars. The was incredible as well as the accompanying food!! My husband said the foccacia was the best he had while in Italy. If you have a gluten allergy, they provide alternative options if you let them know ahead of time. Elena’s way of speaking about each of the and helping you pick up on the different notes was super interesting. We loved the white and Primitivo especially and ordered some to be shipped home. We arranged for a after trying their a few nights earlier in Bari. The highlighted not only their wines, but also the simple and food Italy in general, and Puglia specifically, have to offer. We attended a with Giovanni a few days ago and we're still in awe. The wineyard and the surroundings gardens are breathtakingly beautiful, the passion and attention to detail Giovanni has for his family clearly comes true. I visited Terre di San Vito during my trip to Puglia because I wanted to buy olive oil straight from a local estate instead of a regular shop. I saw that most people join the tasting, but since I don’t drink, I emailed to ask if I could just visit the shop and buy olive oil and jams. They replied quickly and said it was totally fine. We went without a reservation, and as soon as we walked into the front area, a few local gentlemen enjoying tomato focaccia and warmly invited us to join them. Super friendly! In the showroom, a young staff member explained their and olive oils in great detail and let us taste some. He was really patient and knowledgeable. Our group—three Taiwanese and one French friend—loved everything we tried. We ended up buying some wine, a beautiful ceramic bottle of olive oil, and a few jams and preserved goodies. He is very focused on what is in front of him instead of regular guidelines. The place itself is a Beauty good made with their knowledge but with grapes from all over the world paired with local dishes from farm to the table. This is the best and we have been on anywhere in the world. The food and were excellently paired. Giovanni is an exceptional, funny, and warm host. The grounds are meticulously maintained and are a joy to see. There were generous portions of both food and wine. Cannot enough. We couldn't leave without ordering two cases home! I simply cannot say enough good things about our at Terre Di San Vito! Elena and her brother are the kindest, nicest hosts. Cannot this place enough. We (my wife Abby and I) booked the 10:30 AM tour for one of our activities in Puglia and we are SO happy that we did. This is NOT a larger, corporate but rather a smaller & family run place which gives a much more authentic and down to earth for a tour. We spent the two hours with Giovanni (a family member and part owner) which was absolutely fantastic. You could feel the passion and enthusiasm throughout the whole experience. First, the grounds of the are BEAUTIFUL and so well maintained. There are a couple cellars you get to see, which are impressive. Then we sat for a of 5 paired with a assortment of local foods. I do not eating before going because the foods they serve are not just small tiny snacks....its a good portion for lunch and the quality is super high (one of my favorite lunches on the trip!). The pours were also very generous so that you could get an adequate taste of all the products. Very very well done, beautiful, delicious, impressive, tour of this family run winery. The price is higher than most wineries in the area, but its worth it! In exchange you are getting a much more intimate, authentic, down to earth, real with an owner of the company.
