Stopped by Caffè della Villa once we arrived in the historic centre of Locorotondo. The coffee was really good, and so was the cannoli! It was a lovely spot to spend thirty minutes or so, enjoying our coffee and the dolce! The staff were really friendly, including welcoming. If you visit Locorotondo, you won’t be disappointed if you stop by Caffè della Villa❣️ For what it is, a lively cafe serving patrons on the Piazza Emanuele Vittorio in Locorotondo, this is a great place. Staff are multilingual and to-the-point, so be ready. They serve pastries, gelati, caffe of course, and there is decent wifi, plus one of the best places in town to be people watching while sipping a long espresso. Highly recommend. People will wait for a table, so you want to get there before the breakfast and lunch rushes. During my visit, I had an iced latte macchiato (a regular macchiato plus a bicchiere con ghiaccio on the side- they are happy to acommodate) and a pistachio pastiocciotto (local specialty originating in Lecce) - so very good. It looked great, but we didn’t even get the chance to try the pastry. The place was incredibly busy, with only three waiters—and one of them was very rude—so we decided to leave. Italian atmosphere. Great pastry, amazing coffee We ordered 2 Aperol spritz. Probably one of the worst we have drank in Italy but that’s not the worst thing. I have noticed that we never received snacks but all locals and Italian have. It’s not that I need them but feel a little bit discriminated. Maybe because we are tourists or maybe waiter simply forgot. We will never know. delicious espresso and pastries — sampled the torta di ricotta con cioccolata and it was great. Icee cream too. We sat down at a table outside. I went to the bar to ask the waiter to clear the table, while I wanted to order something. The waiter arrogantly told me to sit down and relax and he would come over. I did so. Minutes passed, tourists changed at the neighboring tables, who were served by this waiter, but he avoided us. I do not recommend this place, they do not care about the customer, they are aware that you are passing through and probably will not visit again.
