Great for the kids We visited Spiaggia Tonnara on our first day in Sciacca and had a really nice experience. The has shallow waters, making it very safe for kids, and when we went (on a Friday) it wasn’t too busy. Parking was excellent – close and convenient – and there’s also a small bar and refreshment area, which is always handy. It’s only a short drive into the city, so the location is great. The day we visited it was very windy, and since then we’ve found other beaches more sheltered from the wind, but overall it was a positive experience and a lovely spot for a relaxed swim. The and the sea are ok, depends on what you are used to, the kiosk that we went to with some friends was great, not sure of its name, really nice staff, full of locals, great atmosphere. Found the kiosk name, mojito beach, 5 stars for that place. Protected from waves this is ideal during high winds nice, but crowded in the summer (of course) and not too clean Ok.. Very local for locals. Although you do see holiday makers. Cheap drinks and rent sun loungers with brolly for 5 EUR from local bar. Also free parking. Tonnara is a nice sandy city with shallow water, ideal for little kids. Going further into the water is difficult because of the rocks. The bar on the is excellent, they have all kinds of drinks, cocktails and good panini’s. Very nice friendly stuff there, recommended.
