We went there for a small snack, of course: Arancini. The one with meat and peas was good. But really mind-blowing was the dessert. We had a pistachio-chocolate pastry. Incredibly good. We needed a gelato break and Google pointed us to this delightful bakery. The gelato was great and the ladies also plied us with some extra Florentines, almond biscotti and cassata. All were scrumptious and we took some other pastries to go too. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality. The dough of the cornetto is light and crispy. Both the cream and the pistacchio cream had a lot of taste. The pistacchio cream had a perfect consistency, not too thick and fluid enough. The vanilla cream came close to perfection. This hidden pastry shop is a true gem among Sicilian pasticcerias that no connoisseur should leave out. The La Bella brothers have rightfully won the best Sicilian cassata award, which is a must-try-dessert in here, but do not hesitate to try their arancino and calzone fritto as they have been the best ones I've had in Sicily so far. The same goes for their gelato. Pistacchio and caffè flavors were simply fantastic. The kindness of the staff just perfected the overall experience. Worth visiting! Great cassata! Bravi We stopped here on our way to the hotel and had an arancini, a small pizza, two sfogliatelle and a small canolli. Everything was so good! On top of that it was open on a Sunday! In the afternoon the selection was a bit smaller, but they explained that mornings offer much more variety and that items can also be pre-ordered. They offer 3 options of gluten-free arancini (al ragù, ham, spinach), which are fried separately. We tried ragù and spinach, and both were absolutely – worth the short 10-minute wait while the oil was heating up, which we happily spent enjoying a coffee. We also had a pistachio-filled donut-style pastry and a spinach & mozzarella pocket, both outstanding. There are also gluten-free cannoli available, though we didn’t try them this time. Definitely worth a visit!! I wish I could give this special place and the wonderful staff more stars! My husband and I enjoyed the best cannoli of our lives. And the kindest staff woman with glasses (I wish I asked for her name), offered us sweets to try ☺️ We loved everything so much that we decided to purchase a gift box of sweets that she hand-picked herself. Mi ero ripromessa di scrivere una recensione a questa attività ma per mancanza di tempo non l ho fatto ma oggi ,giorno di san Valentino non posso non farlo. È sempre piacevole entrare ,anche semplicemente per una pausa caffè o una colazione,sia perché mi vedo sempre accolta con un sorriso ma soprattutto per la bontà di tutto quello che è esposto. Oggi era un trionfo di "cuori" e nulla è lasciato al caso...da notare il gusto anche nelle confezioni per non parlare della bontà del dolce che ho regalato a mio marito. Inoltre tengo a complimentarmi con i titolari perché si avvalgono di una squadra ben collaudata,sempre gentili e soprattutto celeri nel servire il cliente nel migliore dei modi.
