This historical abbey has a strong gothic atmosphere. Beside the building there is small cemetery. The setting of trees in rows in front of it looks very beautiful especially when fall. I don't really understand all the positive reviews. The abbey building is a big and impressive space, but offers no clues to its history. There's a central area set up with seats, etc., in the style of a regular church but you can go and see one of those without paying €5. It doesn't help that while we visited some people were setting up lights for some kind of event. It's hard to embrace the grandeur when people are walking around with ladders. You can see into, and nothing more, the lay brothers area, but that's the only other building that's accessible. The gardens are basically grass and weeds, though the plan is to get them landscaped at some time in the future. Really, I don't see any point in visiting here. Go to the café! It is extraordinary.
