A very good location for a motorhome aire but sadly the machine does not recognise UK bank cards. Nice view, but lot of people passing by, hope Covid ends, so it's more interesting to go back on this place and to see what's this place can offer more for tourist and local. Not only is Roanne a lovely town, it also boasts a fantastic basin filled with house boats and river cruisers. The jewel in the crown for me though is the Camping Aire situated right next to the basin. There's electric hook up and a public toilet close by. This was a great find and overnight stay. You simply fill in your details in a book and pop your money in the provided envelope. Then twice a day an operative comes and collects the money, knocks on your door and gives you a receipt. What could be simpler. Fabulous beautiful evening walk, dim lights, beautiful breeze from the river very romantic. Nice place quite safe.
