We had a very experience at the Santspuy Winery. We went for the lunch offered, combined with the aspargus. We were received by Gilbert, that was very polite and showed us everything of the place before (in English). The place is really beautiful and the food was nice and the price is fair. You can easily go walking from the bus stop to there (about 20 minutes walking in a very beautiful countryside of Nederlands). Excellent. High quality, rich assortment, a beautiful place to have coffee and a cake for 2.5 EUR. But the biggest success is the people who have this business: always friendly, helpful and welcoming. This place is freaking adorable. We found it through google maps, as a stop to make trying to avoid traffic we were scheduled to hit if we went straight to Antwerpen. What a gem that was not far of the main road! We had the asparagus soup and bread for lunch, which was excellent. The little shop has an assortment of preserves, cheese, asparagus beer, lots of wines. Its is totally worth checking out. They said we could taste any of the wines, but they were super affordable so we just bought a bunch to take home with us. Een heerlijke plek! We hebben hier een weekend met de camper gestaan en zijn ontzettend gastvrij onvtangen, alsof we bij familie waren. Tijdens de rondleiding hebben we ruim 2 uur aan Gilberts lippen gehangen, die alles vertelde over de regeneratieve boerderij en hoe het boeren werkt. We kregen nog een proeverij en mochten op het laatste moment aansluiten bij het overheerlijke 100% lokaele aspergediner. Het sanitair is gedateerd, maar wordt binnenkort vervangen. Bovendien hebben we zo genoten dat dat niks afdeed aan de ervaring. Hier is het ouderwets gezellig! Meistens findet man die schönsten Orte durch Zufall. We would definitely stay here again but for 2 or 3 nights. Voor wat betreft de camperplaats. Sanitair is voor ons vrij belangrijk. Daar heb ik 1 woord voor...Ruk! 1 douche met een slot dat van buiten geopend kan worden, 3 toiletten, 3 urinoirs en een soort goot met 2 kranen erboven. De pislucht komt je tegemoet zodra je de container nadert. De plek om af te wassen, buiten, daar wordt de vaat viezer in plaats van schoner. Ik lees in sommige reviews dat het sanitair gedateerd is en dat het na seizoen 2025 vervangen gaat worden. Gedateerd zou ik niet erg vinden, het is ronduit goor. De hoek waar het chemische toilet geleegd kan worden mijd ik maar want anders vrees ik dat ik mijn schoeisel weg moet gooien. Helaas heb ik vooruit gereserveerd en de volgende bestemming pas weer overmorgen geboekt, anders waren we al weg geweest. Het winkeltje erbij is wel leuk om toch maar positief te eindigen. Net een weekend doorgebracht op De Santspuy. Gewoonweg schitterend…en dus zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Erg sympathieke eigenaar en personeel. Lekkere asperges! Mooie omgeving (fietsen, wandelen,…) en op amper 6km van het sympathieke Etten-Leur.
