Definitely one of the top sights in Esch. I have not been to the before its renovation but it's obvious that a lot of investment and effort was put into modernising the venue. The building alone is very interesting, architecture-wise, and the exhibition is insightful, engaging and moving. All explanations are available in English, German and French. Staff was friendly and helpful. The entry fee of 5€ is a steal! Small with full interesting stories ,objects and information about WWII and the Holocaust. Beautiful entrance Must Visit! The had just unvelied a newly renovated permanent exhibition, and it looks great. Historical artefacts, photos, personal stories, digital accounts, and more could be encountered in a small but packed space. Also, everything is accessible in English, which is a huge plus. Humbling. I loved this place, I understood the history of this beautiful country through WWII. I like Luxembourg even more. A brilliant and sombre detailing the resistance in Luxembourg during the war. A great deal to take in and many exhibits to examine. We were the only people in the when we visited so no queues. The bottom floor of the exhibit was mainly in French so missed out on this due to the language barrier. Reasonably priced and parking nearby. Beautiful museum, don't let the relatively moderate footprint deceive you, there is a LOT of information here. The many exhibits on display come with great explanations, and the central hall has video screens where you can listen to first-hand experiences of people affected by war, discrimination, racialization and other types of abuse. It perfectly highlights how fragile our hard-fought freedoms are, and the importance of doing what's within your ability to create a better future for your fellow humans Brilliant little well worth visiting multiple times to properly explore the stories of people who lived through the war - from Wehrmacht conscripts and resistance fighters to ordinary Lux teenagers. There's a quiet room where you can play board games or simply reflect on what you've seen. Phenomenal. Went there as an afterthought, expecting a decent with some interesting information here and there, but if far exceeded my expectations. As a history buff and someone who had visited quite a number of museums about the same topics, I can say it’s really worth it. Great accessible information about WWII and the Holocaust in general, but also a lot about what it was like to live in occupied Luxembourg. The artworks from people imprisoned in the camps are harrowing and inspiring at the same time.
