We had a really good taking on the Quick-E-Mart room! We've done a few in the past, and we found this one to be a really fun setting with lots of entertaining and lively challenges throughout. It wasn't the hardest we've ever done, which would make it suitable for beginners or those just looking for a bit of a laugh, but the gameshow style challenge and running prize total means that more experienced players have an added incentive to do well! Simon, our game host, was super friendly throughout our experience. He made us feel at ease and we enjoyed talking with him before and after the game. We're not local, but if we're ever back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to give one of the other a go! We always come here for our and have loved every single room. Today we took part in the “Escaping Neverland” and had the pleasure of being helped by Rae. Rae was so chatty, friendly and welcoming to myself and my family. We had a lovely time!! We took 7 kids and one nervous adult here for my daughter’s 12th birthday. It was hilarious, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves including the nervous adult. I would heartily recommend, fun, especially our consummate Simon. Absolutely brilliant doing ye old lock in Simon was fantastic helpful friendly and just a lovely This was our third visit to Ctrl Alt Esc to do an and yet again we were made to feel extremely welcome. This we were looked after by Rae who was excellent. They were so engaging with us and our daughter. The work put into their here is excellent (we did the Peter Pan room) and I would highly them all. Immense fun. Well done Simon perfect day out. Amazing games, we did two, we started with Ye Olde Lock Inn and it was very well thought out, Sarah (our barmaid) was fantastic she made the game so much fun and a real challenge! Finding Neverland was awesome, I definitely going in a team more than 3 as it's a lot of running about with some of the challenges, Ziggy helped us with this one she was great! All the linked to the theme of the games and without giving too much away it didn't involve constant padlocks and keys like games I've done in other places. I highly any of the games here :) As a family who’ve done our fair share of (over a dozen), we were really impressed with Detention. Fun puzzles, cool soundtrack, and hints delivered over the school tannoy were a touch. Rae, our host, was fantastic—friendly, engaging, and intuitive with just the right level of guidance. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next day to play Ye Olde Lock Inn. This second had a completely different vibe, but was just as enjoyable. It was more collaborative, and our kids (two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old) especially loved the style of the puzzles. It felt like a real team effort, helped along by the excellent in-character bartender. Rae hosted us again and continued to pitch the clues at exactly the right level—supportive without spoiling the challenge. Highly both and big kudos to Rae for helping make our 2 days in Margate such fun! Took my son and his friends for his 12th birthday party and played Detention. This was his first and my first at ctrl+alt+esc. I was slightly worried that it would be too hard for them so I joined in to make sure they at least had one grown up to help them along. Turns out, I wasn't much help but thankfully we had a in Mikey! The welcome and introduction was fun and clear and the venue has a cool design and layout. I won't spoil anything about the and the but I'll say there's a lot of fun to be had in searching the classroom, and Mikey was attentive and helpful without giving too much away. We managed to get out in able the kids all really enjoyed it. I'd like to to come back and try another and would definitely it to friends. Ask for Mikey, she's the GOAT 🐐 Had an absolutely cracking here with our Simon. His passion for really completed this experience for us. Highly recommend!!! What a brilliant experience! We had an amazing doing the Neverland experience with the kids, and Mikey made it extra special. She brought so much fun and energy, keeping everyone engaged and making the whole thing really immersive and thought-provoking. Everything was well organised nearby parking, no wait to get in, and quick registration. We went for our son’s birthday, and he was thrilled to get a certificate and photo at the end. Will be back for another sometime we hope. As a big fan of was excited to find this one for my daughters 11th birthday as see was good for younger players too. Was so much fun seeing them all trying to figure out clues and getting so into it! The clues come through so they don't feel like your getting loads of help too and so handy. Sarah our was brilliant with the girls and made sure the birthday girl felt special too. Def recommend. They all can't wait to try another room! Excellent room. Our Mikey was great, and helped us through it and the challenges were pretty tough compared to other that we have been to. This was excellent value for money as you are given 90 minutes to complete. We were apparently the first people to dress up to match the theme of our room, but we loved it. Toby is a game master. He was super relaxed, very accommodating and lots of fun, he really made it a positive experience. The were cool and they allowed everyone on our team to have an equal share in finding solutions. I had a and would definitely do another one. We had so much fun!! Rae was such an enthusiastic host. Definetly got the bug! It's going to be tradition now on all our birthdays. absolutely fantastic room. had fun! sarah was amazing and guided us when necessary. would definitely return and try a different room! Amazing fun! My brothers and I have done all the at least once and while we didnt really vibe with detention lol, ye olde lock in was awesome and so was quick e mart! Much love ❤️ Really kind staff and as soon as you enter the building there were to do until your started (even the lockers for your belongings were a secret compartment), we had Mikey running our game of ‘Detention’ and they were so funny but informative and set the game up nicely, they also had fun with the clues and interactions. The itself was brilliant with lots of red herrings and secret components. The were varied and challenging and got us acting like school kids again. We did this as a couple but would be a lot of fun as a group as well. We will be going back for the other definitely, got value for money for sure. Brilliant here today! We done Detention today!
