Very friendly staff, clean facilities considering its mainly outside, looked well kept. Kids had a blast. Noticed they now have a campsite with lodges, but couldn't find details on the website. Did ask a member of staff, and they told us that it was new this year. Looking forward to finding more info on this. I'm no baby so only visit the cafe, which is great. Lots of tables, home cooked food and generous portions. We went on a nice hot day and thought it was absolute brilliant fun. Its clean and tidy, nice places to sit and chill out. The food in the restaurant although we didn't eat looked great, the toilets and changing area were clean. Will definitely be paying another visit, day out to be had. Had the best with my nephews! Easy to get to and lots of parking. Wetsuits provided and changing rooms. The aqua park was so much fun! I couldn’t stop laughing! Best hour spent with the kids (plus a workout). It’s lake so eyes don’t sting when you fall in (and you will). temperature if you don’t like cold water. Could bring our dog too (stayed with my sister whilst we went in) We went to cafe after & yes there is a slight wait for food, but they suddenly had about 20 people enter at once & the food was worth the wait. Staff were polite & the Oat Milk Latte was one of the best I’ve had in a while. I ended up ordering the same big sharing platter as my friend because staff didn’t let me check the menu properly (I was in a wetsuit). We had far too much food, and when I asked if something could be done, refund or give it to someone else, they simply refused. If you want to feel respected and treated with care, stay away from this place. They only care about taking your money, not about hospitality or leaving customers happy. For me, management is about looking after customers, especially new ones, and making sure they leave happy. Sadly, that wasn’t the case here. Instead of being accommodating, the attitude felt more like pushing customers away. place for a day out, food is and atmosphere is really nice. Plenty of places to sit and some shelter especially in the hot weather if you have younger children. location and plenty of parking. Clean and ample facilities ie. Showers, bag storage, wetsuits are available but not a necessity, life jackets are provided and toilets. The children that love the will have a time. We do have one child age 10 that doesn’t have a lot of confidence with and the aqua park climbing course is a bit daunting for him, so he doesn’t join in for long and when he’s waiting for his brother and friends to finish it is boring just sitting around, would be nice if there was a paddling pool for the younger children or play area. Expect queues for food/drink at busy times. Overall a experience and for a birthday party/Hen or stag do experience. I cannot comment on the hotel because this was a day trip. Came down for Cable Carnival. Fantastic park with activities and all clean & well ran. Staff, food, drinks and atmosphere were all on point.. job.. Having frequented the cafe previously I was very disappointed that their “new chef” was not the slightest bit interested in catering for anyone with allergies! The previous chef who was amazing made me me all types of lovely dishes from sweet and sour to curries. The food was always delicious and he also made sure one of the fryers had sunflower oil in it should someone require chips without rapeseed. I am highly allergic to rapeseed as are many people. This new chef offered me nothing. I note that some of the reviews aren’t so now! Shame the old chef has gone. Amazing place to visit!! We just went for coffee and cake, but had a watching others enjoy the amazing activities! I can't wait to go back and try them myself. Looked forward to another Sunday roast and was really disappointed. The roast potatoes were full sized baking potatoes. The chicken was on the bone and difficult to cut. The same for the pork belly my wife had. As it was Sunday having a pizza shouldn't have been expected . We had one but not thin and crispy and definitely not cooked in a pizza oven. Not one of the servers asked us for feedback. We love the ambience of the cafe but this meal was totally inadequate. I only hope it was a new Chef who is learning and needs some guidance. He won't get feedback on the food quality as the servers didn't bother to ask. Really poor. I hope there is a reason for this food today as I do genuinely enjoy the venue First at White Mills restaurant today one of the best roast. Totally recommend this place lovely staff too. My dad couldn’t believe how big his favourite dessert was. Delicious We had a day celebrating my daughters 13th birthday. We did the aqua park which was so well organised. We then all had food in the restaurant. We were a party of 10 and our food was amazing and all came out in though we did 3 orders. We will definitely come back again!!! birthday day out. Came for Sunday breakfast,, brought grandmother with us as the food is always very good. However we had finished our meal and still no drinks served. Need to sort something out about the drinks. Waited, waited said to cancel the order and hay presto drinks turned up. We booked the beginner session for our daughter. She absolutely loved it! Brilliant set up, staff so helpful and friendly. Dog friendly place too. Food in a cafe really good. Overall- fab day out enjoyed by all! Very nice place to visit, food was very tasty and portions. Staff were very friendly, will definitely be coming again!
